I hope we get announcements from Herb and Petty today. The suspense on Petty is killing me.

Well Oats already announced it for Herb basically.

True. Herb Retweeted what he said too, so it's pretty much a given I assume.

This interview with Oats today he still seemed pretty unsure about Petty. Said if a team offered Petty guaranteed money he would probably stay in, but I very seriously doubt a team offers him that.
Usually only first rounders/early second rounders get guaranteed money.

It was pointed out the other day that keeping them on the roster guarantees we will have at least 4 available scholarships for 2021, which will be the first class this staff has been able to really lay the recruiting groundwork for
I understand that, but say Petty comes back & you cut Javian (Sophomore) instead of Galin (Senior) because it opens up a free spot after next season. You better be dang sure you have 2-3 Bigs lined up and ready to sign out of high school, because if you cut Javian this summer, Galin, Reese, & Bruner are all Seniors. All 3 are gone next season, & we have 0 big men returning.
Is it safer to..
Option 1: Cut Galin now, have 2 open Big-Man spots after next season (Reese & Bruners spots), then have Javian coming back as a Junior...
OR
Option 2: Cut Javian now, have 3 open Big-Man spots after next season (Reese, Bruner, & Galins spots), and have 0 returning Bigs.
I like option 1.

And we've beat the horse to death about how, despite his hard work and efforts, Galin doesn't belong at a high major. There's no denying or fixing it. Stop the pain, cut him loose.

I agree I'd rather have Reese than Smith. Maybe I'm biased and Alex has some flaws but I also think he has a good 3 point shot for a big body. I hope he returns especially over Smith.

Five-star junior Hunter Sallis is going through the virtual visit process. Visited with UConn last week, Louisville yesterday and tells @Stockrisers that he will virtually visit with Arkansas tomorrow.
I’m expecting more programs to meet with Sallis, virtually.

Jaylen Forbes committed to Tulane

Probably better fits his current skill level. I would’ve chosen Ron Hunter from his final list, too.

Raymond Hawkins committed to Long Beach State. Good move for him

He's a very good coach.

Dallan “Deebo” Coleman has had a busy Tuesday, picking up an offer from Louisville and receiving interest from Virginia.
“Earlier today, coach [Chris] Mack called and told me I had an offer,” Coleman said. “He was just telling me how I’d fit in with them and how he was watching film on me and saw some stuff that he liked. He also pointed out some things that I need to work on.”
The 6-foot-6, 195-pound shooting guard from West Nassau County (FL), is ranked as the No. 10 shooting guard and No. 48 overall player in the Class of 2021, per 247Sports.com.
In addition to Louisville, Coleman also heard from Virginia on Tuesday for the first time.
“Virginia, they called today,” Coleman said. “It was just introducing themselves and saying they’re going to be recruiting me.”
Before Tuesday, Coleman’s most recent offer came from Ole Miss on Apr. 10.
“They’re just pretty much saying that they’re going to be on me,” he said. “They’re going to recruit me hard and they feel that they can develop me to get me to the next level. They’re big on player development.”
Of the schools that have offered, Coleman has been hearing from Louisville, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and Memphis the most.
He broke down each school:
Wake Forest: “Pretty much with them, their whole coaching staff has NBA experience. Nearly their whole coaching staff has played in the NBA. With them, I feel pretty good because I feel like they can prepare me for the next level with their NBA experience.”
Georgia Tech: “That’s one of the schools that’s been recruiting me and was one of the first schools to offer. We’ve got a good relationship with them.”
Memphis: “They’re recruiting me hard as well. They have NBA experience as well.”
Coleman took his first and official visit thus far to Wake Forest from Feb. 21-23. He also took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech from Feb. 28-March 1.
Among the schools that are yet to offer, Coleman has been hearing from Maryland, Oregon, North Carolina and Tulsa, in addition to Virginia. He broke down each school:
Maryland: “They’re just trying to get to know me and get me to know them. That’s about it.”
Oregon: “The same thing as Maryland. Just introducing me to the program, trying to give me some background on them.”
North Carolina: “I took an unofficial back when I was on an unofficial with Clemson. It was a time back, when they had a football game. They’ve been catching up, seeing how I’m doing during the quarantine.”
Tulsa: “They’ve just [been] asking me what I’ve been doing during quarantine and telling me stuff about the school and basketball program itself.”
Coleman, who plans on cutting his list at the end of the summer, says he plans on verbally committing before the start of the high school basketball season.
Coleman broke down the factors in making his decision:
“Just how much of a relationship have I developed with some of the coaches on the staff,” he said. “I’m looking at players that are there and that are leaving, opening a spot for me, where I could come in, play and be effective. Player development, as well.”
In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Coleman has been working out from home.
“I’ve been doing two-a-days,” he said. “I start out when I wake up and do a lift. On Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s, I do shoulders and chest. Then on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, we do arms and triceps.”
Coleman says he’s also been putting a lot of focus on his ball handling and shooting during this time.
Off the court, Coleman has been keeping busy as well.
“I like to fish,” he said. “I also like to play pool and I like going to the beach.”

Harms isn’t going to UK now. SEC is wide open.

Sounds like we aren't recruiting him anymore.
