Wonder what this means for Anselem...

Thanks Fever for the '21 prospect list. Fun reading. A new recruiting method instead of offering money might be to offer them food. Anyone notice the weight on these kids? 6'6", 175 lbs! Don't their mothers feed these kids?

Alabama isn’t recruiting Anselem much. Would expect him to go back home to UGA

I wonder if we don't want to scare away the big from Canada. I know they are different classes but I doubt Anselem is or and done.

Andrew Slater just tweeted that he would bet against UGA.

It was my tweet he tweeted it to so I know lol. Look, unless LSU lands Anselem, Gray, and Cisse, I just don’t see how he couldn’t go to UGA. If LSU landed all 3, then that’s just ridiculous.

In just don’t see LSU landing all 3. Could Bama pick up their recruiting of Anselem? Possibly. Will be an interesting one to follow

Is there a more unlikable coach in college basketball than Will Wade? The guy cheats to land players, is not a very good Xs and Os guy, looks like an arse clown 95% of the time, is as smug as is humanly possible, and all the while, just thumbing his nose at the NCAA daring them to come and get him.

If I were on the infractions committee, I'd bust his arse so hard he wouldn't be able to coach a church league team without a show cause.

In light of recent developments, my recruitment is now wide open as I take the time to evaluate the best fit for me both on the court and academically next season. Thank you everyone for your interest. Please stay safe and always keep the family close

Does he also have the option of reclassifying back to 2021 if he wants?

What I was told was correct that Alabama is not pursuing him. Sounds like it was a done deal he was going to LSU and he reclassified, but LSU went in a different direction. Alabama and Georgia were just on the final 3 for looks.

Dang, that sucks for him. Hope he is able to get somewhere he wants to be.

I wonder why we aren't recruiting him harder? Especially with LSU out of it now. He would be an upgrade over Galin easily. Maybe they thought it would be a waste of time since he was an LSU lock, I wonder if we start recruiting him harder now.

If he doesn't fit what Oats wants to do, i'd rather keep Galin and use the scholly next year on someone who fits better.

I'm not familiar with Anselem's game though.

He seems athletic enough, and a solid shot blocker. Not many highlights of him out there so not sure how good of a shooter he is, must not be much of one.

To be honest he’s not that good. He looks the part but he doesn’t have much game at all.

The state of Florida has produced so much talent on the hardwood over the last few years. One of the next talented products out of the state is Dallan ‘Deebo’ Coleman, he’s ranked amongst the Top-50 prospects in the country by 247Sports composite-rankings system.

Coleman has one of the more interesting recruitments nationally as over 20+ programs are involved and that includes offers varying from the ACC to the SEC all the way to the Big 12.

“I have some early favorites for sure, but the schools that remain involved in my recruitment are Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida St, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Tulsa, & Wake Forest.”

He still has an open recruitment and schools continue to get involved, Coleman said.

“Because my recruitment is still open new schools that have shown interest are Louisville, Maryland, & Oregon.“

And on the topic of Louisville, Coleman said that they have heavy interest in him and have yet to offer. He took a ‘virtual visit’ to Louisville’s campus as he obviously can’t do it physically as the NCAA cancelled physical-campus visits due to the COVID-19 outbreak. “

Another program involved in his recruitment is Ole Miss. The Rebels just recently offered Coleman during his virtual visit with Kermit Davis. As far as those go, Coleman says “I’m in the process of getting some more scheduled. They are different, but it’s cool experiencing recruiting from a different fashion.”

Next Steps: “I’ve seen quite a few of 2021’s narrowing their list down and/or committing. A lot of other factors have come into play now. My plan right now is to have my list narrowed down at end of summer & verbally commit in fall.”

Coleman also showed his desire and want as well as his hope that AAU ball happens this summer, he says that he’s looking forward to seeing what happens and he really wants to get on the court again.
