Interesting tidbit on Nimari, gives you an idea of the talent cut-off when it comes to recruiting/targeting.

I'm guessing it will end up being 20 or so of the top 30 players getting G-League offers, but the guys on the second half of that list are probably getting league minimum type offers which aren't all that attractive compared to the perks of big time college ball. The 20th best recruit in the class of 2023 will probably end up being the 5th or 6th best incoming freshman.

Jalen Green's decision could have a ripple effect in Canada. Crestwood @CoachRoRussell said he expects a handful of Canadians including Elijah Fisher to consider following Green's lead. Karim Mane and Charles Bediako could potentially make the jump too.

The G-League has an offer out to five-star senior Greg Brown and he’s indeed added it to his final list of options. The super-athletic forward from Texas will announce his choice on the 24th.

G League already hot and heavy all over the 2021 guys.

Jalen Green and the G-League have definately started something. I’ve spoken to several high-caliber prospects who haven’t heard from the G-League yet but said it’s definately ‘intriguing’ if they were to garner interest.

Brandon Marcello from Auburns 247 site said Auburn isn't a factor with Kuminga even if he reclassifies.

There is absolutely no reason to go to college if you can get the kind of offer that Jalen Green supposedly got.

$500k contract and $125k college scholorship fund on top of it. If that's true, why not take it?

Another bad day for college basketball, which will continues to lose top talent and recede in national relevancy. “I think the NBA is doing it as a big middle finger to the NCAA."

True but it sounds like only 3? 2020 college players took the g league offer.

Sounds like at least 5 or 6 were offered a g league deal and turned it down.

This all came about really late in the process.

Next year's cycle could be much different.

Some of them were offered the deal months ago, if not all of them.

News about it is just coming out today.

Nimari Burnett said he got his G league offer before he committed to Texas Tech, he committed to them in early November.

I'm not sure why you want to argue every single post in this thread all the time while generally being close minded to anyone else's opinion or thought process.

This came about very late in the recruiting process for these kids and their families. I'm sure some of them are skeptical of being the guinea pig of a brand new process that may take amateur eligibility away from their children who have earned a free college education because of the basketball abilities.

The 2021 kids will have a year plus of gathering information and seeing the whole process play out for the kids who went this route before them. These are huge financial and future determining decisions that have to be made in a fairly short amount of time.
