Alabama: I love the style of play
Georgia: I am originally from Atlanta and they have been recruiting me since I was a freshman
LSU: My favorite player, who retired when I was in 3rd grade, played there a decade before I was born.
Crystal ball predictions: 100% LSU.
Nope...nothing to see here. Nothing at all.

It appears Darius Miles will be signing on IG Live today at 4:50 EST.
Apparently it's already official.

His comments on Miles kind of teases red shirt potential IMO. Seems like coach speak for "he needs to work on his defense and rebounding" and "once he gets some seasoning he could be great for us." Maybe he’s the sit-one guy that Harper says we’re looking for?

Details: Grad transfer from Yale to Alabama.
Stats: 10.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in 2019-20.
Bossi's take: Assuming he doesn't opt for the NBA Draft, Bruner is just what the doctor ordered in Tuscaloosa. He's athletic, he does a very nice job on the glass, he runs the floor well and he's even got the ability to stretch out defenses some with his jump shooting.

Oats said
"Playing last year as a postgrad has given him a head start on what will be required of a Freshman at a high major D-1 level."
Sounds to me like he thinks he will play this season.
He played Post Grad this year which basically is a redshirt year. He is old enough to be a sophomore this season

If they have to pay the 119th ranked player in this class to come there I feel sorry for them.

Pretty good article in the Montgomery Advertiser. It was much easier to read on mobile for me though. Their website was god awful on my chrome book.

Book Richardson told the FBI that Wade was willing to pay Naz Reid $300k. The infamous "strong arse offer" wS made to Javonte Smart. These guys were good players, but the #18 and #35 overall recruits ain't LeBron.. There's also a recorded conversation between Dawkins and Sean Miller where Dawkins references the fact that Wade significantly overpays recruits. Based on all that, I'd imagine that Wade's primary recruiting strategy is to figure out who he wants and then use his relationships with guys like Dawkins to identify the kids on that list who are the most receptive to being offered more than just an athletic scholarship. Then he comes in with an offer that is just way more than the going rate to secure the deal.

I have no doubt that they pay the highly ranked players that they get, just saying I would doubt Aslem was one of them that they paid, we are in his top 3 and I don't even think we are recruiting him really.
They may still be paying him who knows, just saying that if they have to pay a guy ranked in the 100's that's being lightly recruited to come there I feel sorry for them.
What you said about Richardson is why I thought the story about LSU stopping recruiting Kuminga sounded fishy, I don't think anyone would outpay them based on what came out in that investigation about Will Wade paying more than anyone else, the Naz Reid 300k offer ect. It's a lot more likely that he cut them from his list.

Shackelford ended the season with 15 straight double-digit games for a total of 23 and also contributed seven 20-point games on the year

Wonder if any other Sec school would keep the coach if he was caught on tape talking about payment of recruits?
