Idk why, but this surprises me somehow. Does he just not like being coached or what is it?

Those are the first 3 that would go imo. Javian’s attitude is absolutely awful.

Against FAU and South Carolina he was outstanding. So the potential is there. But I get a feeling all of the Avery guys attitude were bad.(except Herb)

Me too, but like I said, I remember a few people saying that Davis is the one Oats was yelling at about being selfish that one time, not Reese like nearly everybody assumed. If I had to guess, he's a freelancer. The guy lost like 40 pounds in an offseason so I don't see how he could be lazy.

KeShawn Murphy (F-Ramsey, 2021) just committed to Rick Stansbury at WKU.

Were we pursuing him?

I wonder if Rick is still up to his old recruiting trick$?

Someone can correct me if I am wrong - I know we've watched/talked to him some and he took an official visit here during football season, but I don't think we ever really went hard after him with a committable offer.

If Javian’s attitude makes him “one of the first to go” that’s fine, but, the #1 goal is still to win games. Galin is the worst player in college basketball history, and Javian would help the team win more. He possesses some basketball skill.

Galin should be cut 1st, and if Javian’s attitude pushes him to be cut before Reese & Forbes, that’s fine. But, if you have an opportunity to drop Galin, you drop him.

And to add to what I said, I’ll be disappointed if Reese leaves too. Yeah his defense is trash and effort is questionable, but when he does occasionally put it together, he’s a huge boost offensively.

If you listen to Bruners interview last night he sounds perpetually pissed. He will be getting on guys asses if they loaf.

If Reese can improve his 3point shooting percentage he could be a nice piece or weapon off the bench especially if we have an injury or two.As many threes as he shot this yr he must've hit for higher percentage in scrimmages than games so maybe Oats feels the potential is there. He did get himself in better shape physically but he's just got to get his mind right. And most definitely with his size be a more physical player.

Alabama's ace recruiter title for the 2020 cycle goes to Bryan Hodgson. He's the lead recruiter for all five of the Tide's 2020 pledges. Recruits have consistently raved about the second year UA assistant that came to the Capstone alongside Nate Oats from Buffalo last spring. There's no question Hodgson, alongside the rest of the UA staff in Oats, Antoine Pettway, and Charlie Henry are creating staying power on the recruiting trail for the Tide.

Pay this man.

Remember Alabama losing to North Carolina in the Bahamas solely due to Armando Bacot dominating the post for UNC? Jordan Bruner had 17 points and 15 rebounds against the Tar Heels this season. Bacot recorded 6 rebounds and 2 points in 16 minutes.

Herb & Jordan will give us big time leadership, leading by example with their toughness.
I could also see Jordan verbally riding an arse for loafing.
Shack may also step up in a leadership role as well.

He shot 38% from three two years ago which was the highest on the team, even higher than Petty.

Last year his shooting fell off, not sure if it was because of the hip and knee injuries he got in a slump or what, but if he could get back up to close to how he shot two years ago he could definitely have a role off the bench.

Quick questions...

1. If we have 14 players, & Oats asks a player to leave, can the player flat out say no? He signed with the team, can Oats cut anyone he wants or does the player have to agree to it too?

2. What date do Herb, Petty, Kira have to announce whether they are staying in draft or returning to school?
