It’s going to be hard for anyone to top Devin Mitchell. Still hate that Avery ran him off. Even after that he’s shown nothing, but class and love for the university.

This commitment is just Heaven for both sides. We had 0 big men we could count on, then boom, coaching change, enter 4-Star Center.

Bucky won all those state titles at the highest classification in Alabama with all those Mountain Brook kids? He must be doing something right!

We are gonna have a VERY good class if we get Trendon, A 5 star and four 4 stars. All top 100 recruits on 247.

That’s a pretty glowing remark. Also fits with the narrative that Watford wasn’t a fan of the laid-back culture CAJ cultivated here.

That's a lot of bama bangs to be winning state titles with. Must be a hell of a coach.

Man, I love Nate Oats (no homo). This guy is going to work. I think he's got the personality & energy that Grant didn't have, and the coaching acumen & player development that Johnson didn't have. I believe in him.

I mean damn, the guy won two tournament games at BUFFALO! To put that in perspective, we've only won two tournament games in 13 years. That's almost enough for me right there.

I truly believe Oats is one of those special coaches that come along once every decade.

That's why I posted this. I may be way out there; only time will tell, but I said earlier when we were first posting about changing coaches that I thought Oats was special. The guy went to the NCAAT, at Buffalo, 3 out of the 4 years he has coached on the collegiate level. He even beat his former boss-legacy coach Bobby Hurley-in the NCAAT this year.

Change the culture, pay the man, and get Watford in a Bama uniform

Does anybody know if we actually have a shot at Harlond Beverly? He has a pretty impressive offer list, but I don't know much about him.

And let's say we somehow actually landed both him & Watford, and Kira comes back also, wouldn't that put us over the limit? Who would be foced out?

Diante Wood, Alex Reese would be candidate to transfer.

I really hope Reese stays. He has the potential to hit a ton of threes in this offense. Has decent size too and was turning into a pretty good rebounder towards the end of the season.

Reese? I sure as hell hope not. I still have faith in him. With better conditioning, I think he could be a perfect stretch 4 in Oats scheme. I would agree about Diante Wood though. He's seems like a likely transfer candidate.

Alex Reese? I don’t see that. Why Reese instead of Galin Smith? Reese is decent offensively at times, and Galin couldn’t make the team at Samford (I seriously believe that). I’d take Reese over Galin all day avery day.
