He's probably not gonna improve his draft stock by coming back, it pretty much is what it is at this point. He had a good year where he was one of the top 5 three point shooters in college. Might as well go now. At the least he will get picked up by a G league team and be getting paid to develop his game more next year.

Alex Reese just posted that he’s entering the draft and not hiring an agent.

Looks like Keon Ellis has narrowed his list down to 35 schools.

Article from yesterday.

quote:

The legend of Keon Ellis continues to grow.

The former Leesburg High School basketball standout, who led Florida SouthWestern State College to a No. 1 national ranking and earned All-State honors while leading the Buccaneers in scoring this season, is being courted by a growing number of NCAA Division I programs.

Ellis’ most-recent suitors are Iowa State, Western Kentucky, and Kansas State. That runs the number of national programs who made official offers to Ellis up to at least six, according to his Facebook page.

In addition to his newest offers, Ellis had already received offers from the Alabama, Fresno State and Middle Tennessee State.

Ellis averaged 18.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for Florida SouthWestern State this season. The 6-foot-6 guard scored at least 20 points in 10 games, including a career high 41 points on Jan. 4 in a 92-77 win against St. Petersburg College. He also scored 36 points in a win against Miami-Dade College and 34 against State College of Florida.

Ellis was a key player in Leesburg’s run to back-to-back Class 6A state championships in 2017 and 2018. In the Yellow Jackets’ 71-62 win against Tallahassee Rickards in the 2018 state title game — Ellis’ last game for Leesburg — he scored a game-high 25 points and pulled down a team best seven rebounds.

I don't even think Ellis has offers from some of those teams.

If he has no one has mentioned it and he usually posts on twitter when he gets an offer.

From what I can gather it's pretty much between us, Iowa State, and Kansas State.

I truly have no idea what to think about recruiting anymore. That’s why I leave it to you guys and just don’t even worry about making a prediction. It’s pretty much the same in football. It’s the Wild West and I’m just watching and hoping for the best

Washington just offered Top-25 junior Alex Tchikou, his trainer told @Stockrisers. Arkansas extended an offer earlier last week.

I don't blame you.

I don't doubt Ellis has heard from all those schools, just not sure if the have all offered him. I hope we get him, I think he is a diamond in the rough, I don't see how he doesn't have more offers. He is cable of going for 30+ points on any given night and is a good defender too with nice size.

Saban has kinda made FB recruiting boring. I know he is always gonna get good top players so I don’t even keep up until a week before signing day. I’m much more invested in Basketball recruiting

I’m fine with whichever way we go. Assuming we keep 2/3 of Smith, Reese, Davis, I just want to bring in a rim protector that likes to do the dirty stuff around the rim. A player like Bola would have gotten us at least 2 more wins this past season.

with the additions of

6'8 Rojas
6'8 Ambrose
6'6 Primo
6'6 Ellis
6'6 Singleton

and possibly 6'9 Bruner, or someone else who is probably 6'7 or over, that would add a lot of much needed size.

Not to mention Gary who is 6'5 230.

Yeah me too. I hope we get Bruner he is a solid shot blocker. There's a two minute video on Youtube of Bruner doing nothing but blocking shots. He had 7 in one game last season.

I was too hard on Bola when he played because he was awful offensively ( No lie he shot a layup that air balled in one game) But damn do I miss all the dirty work he did
