Yea, we’ll be in the same boat if we don’t get some bigs.

I know some people want to blame bigs as the reason we would've missed the tournament last year but it wasn't the reason, injuries were.

We were trending towards making the tourney pretty easily this year til Petty, Herb got hurt on top of Rojas and Gary.

Before Herb;s injury we had won 8 out of 10 with 20 point wins over Auburn and Miss State, also wins over Richmond and Belmont in that span who would've made the tournament.

You can’t blame injuries for our healthy bigs playing like girls.

Thoughts on Josh Primo to Alabama: Adding another versatile guard who can excel at multiple positions is huge for Nate Oats and company. And Primo’s size will be a big asset for how the Tide want to play on both sides of the court. Great pickup.

Our bigs definitely played like girls and we do need to get better there. I think we will still add a guy in this class who can play the 5. Rojas can play there too when we go small and Davis should hopefully be a be a bit vetter/more consistent. If he could play every game as good like did vs South Carolina he would he would be more than adequate.

They were an issue, just saying that even with our crappy bigs we were on track to make the tournament pretty easily it looked like before Herb got hurt, then of course when Petty got hurt on top of that the wheels really came off.

On top of Rojas and Gary getting preseason injuries we had Herb, Beetle, and Petty all get injured, Reese is gonna have to have offseason surgery on his hip. Lack of depth and injuries was a legitimate problem. Not making an excuse.

I think we led the country in games missed by players with injuries. I know we led the SEC by a wide margin.

His final schools were Kentucky, Virginia, Alabama, Arizona State, California, Kansas, Marquette, Miami, Nevada, Oregon, San Diego State, UNLV, USC, Utah, Washington and UCLA.

We offered him under Avery Johnson, not sure how hard Oats recruited him once he took over.

You can speculate and make excuses. I’ll stick to what Oats said and the fact that he’s wanting to process some guys

I will qualify what I'm about to say with an acknowledgement that we suffered more injuries this past season than most teams do in 3 seasons combined. With that being said, if our bigs weren't completely worthless we could and likely would have overcome the injuries. We still wouldn't have been as good as we could have been if healthy, but we wouldn't have collapsed either. I'm not saying injuries weren't an issue because they definitely were an issue, but not as much of one as our front court being absolute shite.

Seems like he will most likely be headed back West.

You add Reese's and Davis stats together that's 15 points, 9 rebs, in 36 minutes a game. That's not great but it's not terrible.

Jordan Bruner who we all want averaged 9 rebs and 11 points a game in 32 minutes.

Adding Rojas, Gary, and Ambrose, who are all good re-bounders will help a lot.

I do think we still process Galin and add another guy 6'7 or over.

I personally think Forbes will probably get processed too if we can sign a guard that's an upgrade.

Yeah, I think Forbes spot is pretty precarious. If Nate can recruit a better guard or a better big, I think he will be "helped" to leave.
