I freaking LOVE how Saban does whatever he can to help the other sports close the deal in their recruiting efforts.

This is probably just nothing so don’t get your hopes up, bc I’m not.....BUT Daeshun Ruffin’s mom tweeted this with a pic of her son late last night during his visit:

quote:

Blessed and highly favored #walk it like I talk it

Then this morning posted a pic that said “Lord I thank you”.

Would be cool to get a commitment from him

I’ve heard he’s a backup plan for Kentucky too. Hopefully this is a John Petty situation all over again

I’ve heard we are in a really really good spot for both Jackson and Burnett

I'm telling you guys, if Nate can get enough of his system in place and enough guys to buy in so that the transformation is evident on the court, recruiting will pick up. If we can give teams like Florida and Kentucky hell and win the games we are supposed to win instead of losing to shite teams like Northeastern, heads will turn. Then, basketball players will take notice of what Nate is trying to build.

Kentucky, Syracuse, Alabama, make up the final-three for five-star Isaiah Jackson, he announced

Alabama: Visited with family this month, and met with Isaiah. Seen as dark horse.
Kentucky: Visit went ‘extremely well’ loves coaching staff.
Syracuse: Fun visit, fits playing style.

He should pick us or Cuse. He's a low floor/high ceiling type who needs a couple of years to develop. Players like him tend to get lost in the shuffle at Kentucky.

Would love to get Jackson signed in November. If we get Jackson and Burnett the expectations for the 2020-2021 team are going to be massive

Yeah, assuming Kira and Bolden are the only losses this offseason that team would have a really nice blend of vets and young talent.

I think Kira is a great collegiate player, but I don’t think he has what they look for as of right now. He doesn’t have the handles or playmaking of a 1st round PG and lacks the size they look for in a SG. Not saying it’s not possible, but I definitely wouldn’t assume he goes pro next year. I’d be a little surprised if he did.

If Kira doesn't go pro I think we would have to show someone the door to sign two guys, no? I guess it's possible. I just figured Oats went ahead and told the guys he didnt want to find new places to play this season, and he tried to keep all the incoming freshmen.

Pretty sure Kira has already made up his mind that he’s leaving after this year. Then Beetle will leave as well opening 2 spots. If Kira didn’t leave for some reason, you know someone will transfer due to not getting a lot of PT

Kira is wonderful, but I agree with a few of the posters above. He’s not an NBA Draft Pick yet, due to skill-level and body.

Devonta Pollard straight-up told everybody he was going to be a one-and-done

If he doesn’t get a 1st round grade (which he’ll have to show one Hell of an improvement to get), I’d be surprised if he makes the jump. Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders.
