And for every successful coach who does it clean you have 25 who play the game. Oats may be one of the handful who can identify and develop guys who are undervalued by P-5 coaching staffs, but if the NCAA is going to allow D1 college basketball to become a de facto semi-pro league then I'd rather just pay for the 5 star talent.

Yeah it seems like it sadly. What’s weird is it seems like we just stopped recruiting him. It wasn’t anything Smith did. He probably would’ve seriously considered coming here had we really recruited him hard

Tbh with you, I’ve been trying to keep up with every recruit from 2020-22 for the last few weeks and I’m getting them all mixed up 
. I remember hearing there was someone that may go overseas and I wanna say it was him, but I could be wrong.

There has been a couple and Jay Scrubb is definitely one of them that has been rumored to possibly skip college ball.

There were articles a few months ago where his Dad basically said if he's a projected first rounder in the draft, he'll go straight from JUCO and if not, he'll go to college.
