On the positive side it opens up opportunity for Javian Davis. Let's see why he was given a scholarship. Hope he comes through.

Has Rojas Redshirted yet or is he eligible for one this year?

How did this come about?

Clearly Oats has been pushing them too hard, the S&C program is substandard, and Nike is sending them bad shoes.

Even if he has, he should be able to get a medical redshirt right? Like Riley Norris?

In Oates' comments about the injury, he says this at the end.
quote:

“... and we are looking forward to having him for two seasons beginning in the 2020-21 season.”

So that would assume they know he's getting a redshirt year, either by the normal standards or a medical one.

Rojas probably wasn’t gonna contribute much anyways. And I saw this rumor on twitter:

quote:

I'm hearin' it was a jet ski incident and where jet ski's collided and he bonked his leg leading to the injury. I'll let professionals work to confirm the situation but I trust my sources @AlabamaMBB.

It’s sad that it surprises me less that it’s a freak accident like a jet ski collision instead of it being an on court injury.

Alabama basketball: when good things happen, horrible things are sure to follow.

Is this sarcasm? I thought we all were expecting Rojas to have a pretty big role this year?

No for awhile I thought he would contribute, and maybe he would have, but he was just a JUCO guy who wasn’t in as great of shape as the others since he arrived very late so I’m sure he was still behind the others. I guess he could’ve been a good contributor later in the year

Five-star wing Earl Timberlake will no longer visit Alabama but instead, take an official visit to Seton Hall on the weekend of September 27, he tells @Rivals @bamainsider

Ight I’m starting to worry a little about this staff’s ability to recruit....just a little bit. Still feel decent about Nimari Burnett, but not really confident on anyone else

You have to understand none of these kids have seen Alabama basketball do shite. How long has it been since Gottfried’s lucky Elite Eight year? Those recruits were probably in diapers. We’ve got to show some improvement on the court for some of these guys to take us seriously. Having said that, if we can get them on campus, we have a good opportunity to snag them.

Well when you have elite players scheduling visits and then backing out of them, that’s a problem. At least get them on campus. He canceled it to visit Seton Hall.......

If we want a five star, its going have to be from southeast. A kid from DC isn't dreaming about playing for Bama.

Supposedly Deivion Smith is fading away from us as well.

I'm starting to feel like Sardaar Calhoun and Rongie Gordon might be this years class.
