The dynamic combo-guard had a superb Summer on the EYBL circuit averaging over 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per contest in helping Team Why Not reach the championship game of the Peach Jam.

Burnett made a preliminary cut to 12 schools today and went in-depth on each of his finalists.

Oregon is a good school with a good coaching staff. They see me coming in and playing right away with the ball in my hands as a point guard.

At Louisville the coaches keep it real, which I love. The fans are amazing and they have a really good recruiting class coming in.

UCLA has a new coaching staff that wants me to come in a play right away as a PG and lead the team to a great season.

Stanford, of course academically they are superior, but they are also on the rise as far as basketball. The coaching staff sees me coming in and playing right away.

Alabama is a really good school with a new coaching staff who sees me coming in and taking over where Kira Lewis started.

Marquette has a great coaching staff who sees me basically taking the role of Markus Howard once he leaves.

Illinois sees me coming in, playing right away and basically sees me as a lottery pick once Ayo Dosunmu leaves.

Auburn – Bruce Pearl speaks volumes as well as the rest of the coaches on staff. Also they see me playing right away as a freshman and making a big impact.

For Michigan me and Juwan Howard go way back, but not only that, he sees me coming in and making a big impact right away.

Wake Forest has an NBA coaching staff who sees me taking the team to the next level and being the best team they can be.

Arizona with Coach Miller and the rest of their good coaching staff sees me coming in and being a big part of their success right away. Also they see me playing point guard at the next level.

Arkansas with Coach Mussleman and the rest of their staff have high hopes for me and they want to see me come in and help the team win right away.

Nimari is one of the most coveted prospects in the country based on his combination of perimeter shotmaking, the ability to create for others and the versatility to play either guard spot. A standout in the classroom as well, Burnett is going to be a tremendous addition for one lucky program.

The Chicago native has one official visit set for now, a September 27th date to see Alabama.

Pretty sure Alabama is the leader or at least tied for the lead with Burnett. Just hope we can hang on

LOL. Grant and Johnson must have really done some of our fans wrong cause some of them are for sure afraid to love again.

Where were you during the Hobbs' years? This goes back way farther than Grant and Johnson

This isn’t the first time this has been said by a 2020 PG. Sounds like the staff really thinks Kira is going to be a 1st rounder next year, or at least they’re selling it to recruits that way.

Sexton was a first round pick too so that helps. Idk if Kira will be or not, he should for sure get drafted if he has a really good season this year.

I think the staff told Kira he could be a 1st rounder too. The new system should cause him to shine if he learns it well. He could really have a breakout year. Hodgson has hinted at that.

Jaemyn Brakefield, the 6-foot-8 forward from Huntington Prep (WV) and Phenom University AAU, broke down his recruitment for ZAGSBLOG.

Brakefield currently holds offers from LSU, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Kansas, Louisville, and West Virginia among others.

“Memphis and Michigan State are new comers. MSU recently offered me and Memphis hasn’t yet but seem highly interested. Auburn, Alabama, and Louisville have been on me the hardest lately and are prioritizing me,” said Brakefield.

“I will possibly cut my list in August. Still waiting to see if certain schools reach out.”

This year on the Nike EYBL Circuit, Brakefield averaged 15.9 points and 6.1 rebounds in 17 games played.
According to 247Sports, Brakefield is ranked No. 32 nationally and is the No. 5 power forward.

In a number of coaching changes over the off-season, Nate Oats to Alabama is already making a huge impact. Besides who was already signed, he added Raymond Hawkins, JUCO All-American James Rojas, and added Villanova transfer Jahvon Quinerly. Watch out for Alabama this season!

I love Kira, and for the college basketball game, I like him even more than I liked Sexton.

But, I don’t see ANY reason whatsoever to start assuming he’s a 1st Round Pick after this season. He had flashes last season, but he turned the ball over a ton. He’s so SKINNY right now, NBA guys would eat him alive. 1 Year isn’t going to change that. He isn’t listed anywhere on any NBA Mock Drafts. Finally, it’s not like he tore it up this summer on the USA team. He rode the bench for the most part.

He’s our best player, and I think he will be leading us to March Madness for the next 2-3 seasons. But, a next year 1st Round Pick is a little silly to assume.

He got worn down last year. Because we didn’t have another good option at PG. This year he will have JQ(hopefully), Beetle, and Shackleford to run point behind him and give him a blow. MAJOR upgrades IMO over Dazon and Jr.

I think Kira will have a great year, don’t think he will be a lottery but he could play his way into late 1st round IMO
