I only watched his YouTube highlights recently, but he looks extremely long. He's listed at 6-9 but he seems bigger. And he's pretty athletic for his size. Just based on the limited sample size of what I've seen, I already like him more than Galin.

Really good in transition for a big man, good ball handler.
Some had him ranked as the top big man in this class when he was a sophomore. Ton of potential.

So why aren’t any of the local schools recruiting this guy? It seems weird that he’s got offers from State and Arkie and Buffalo but not Cal, Oregon, Washington. Just kinda puzzling.

He got offered by Arizona State and Colorado.
He has a lot of good offers, three from SEC schools, who knows why certain schools didn't offer him. Maybe center wasn't a position of need for them this year

Maximum effort, they know exactly what they are doing out there and they make shots and play defense. I'm jealous but I at least have hope now

Getting Hawkins will probably knock our recruiting class up into the top 15 on 247. 19th currently.

Hoping Tech throws the bank at home and gets him to stay. I don't know why - and maybe it's because of the melt - but I love watching Texas suffer. So much money invested just to fail.

Recruiting nuggets from Evan Daniels:
-Coach Hodgens met with 4-star guard Harlond Beverly today. Setting up an OV.
-WVU transfer James Bolden was likely going to Buffalo but now Bama has a chance. He is a guard who averaged 12.5 PPG and 2.5 APG before getting a severe ankle sprain and missing the rest of the season.
-Whole staff will meet with Watford tomorrow
-Coach Oats met with Shack last night and will try to meet with Gary and Forbes this week.
-Actively recruiting and talking to Kira. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him back at Bama.
