An older guy I used to work with who was from Cullman said his aunt "made him a man" in the back of a watermelon truck when he was 14. He was dead serious.
ETA: He was a huge Auburn fan.

I am wondering about him too. Can't find anything on Twitter. Saw that Gary and Hawkins are already in town.
Gary tweeted "I"m Home" and tagged himself in Ttown.

Looks like we may go back to kids right out of high school to the NBA. This may work to Bamas favor with Oats. I hope he can turn into a Jay Wright type coach.

Those are the main 2. But if we miss on Watford, I think that leaves another empty spot and we’ll have to find someone else

The National Title game showed everyone that you don’t need top tier recruits to win everything. It’s coaching, technique, defense and fundamentals

This is just so ridiculous. Google “college basketball teams with the most national championships” and look at the top 10 teams and tell me big time recruits don’t matter.
Sure, you CAN sneak in for a title like Viriginia did this season with no big names and win your 1st Natty ever in 2019 every once in awhile, or you can pack in as many great players as you can each season, raise your odds, and have 5-plus titles like Indiana, UNC, Kentucky, Duke, and UCLA.

I saw a tweet and asked the same ? and no one responded.

I don’t think that’s extremely uncommon to be honest. I imagine some recruiting trips make it where he couldn’t attend practice. I know assistants have to occasionally miss practice as well because of recruiting.

Not sure where this "UVA doesn't recruit top players" narrative came from. Same thing happened with Villanova which wasn't true. Reality is they have multiple elite recruits in their small rotation
UVA had 5 top 60 recruits
- Diakite #32
- Kyle Guy #37
- Ty Jerome #44
- Jay Huff #57
- Braxton Key #59
+
- Deandre Hunter #91

I wouldn't consider a guy ranked at 32 or below an Elite recruit. Top 10 players are elite recruits imo, I would say Sexton was one.
Virginia did have some talented players though no doubt, top 60 recruit is still a really good player usually.

I could be wrong but I get the feeling CNO gonna be more dedicated & relentless in every aspect of his job unlike any hoops coach we've had in a while, much like CNS w/football.
