Rojas was Hutchinson’s leading scorer and the Jayhawk Conference’s third-leading scorer at 18.8 points per game. He also averaged 5.8 rebounds per game. Rojas shot 50.5 percent from the field and hit 33.3 percent on 31 3-poiners and was a 77.0 percent free-throw shooter.

Yeah, his numbers aren't bad, albeit they are at a junior college, but he could be a pretty nice addition. I just hope it's not fallback option because we aren't getting Watford. Maybe Oats doesn't think one of either Galin or Javain is a good fit for his style of play, and Rojas is a replacement for one of them. But my confidence level for Watford has went way down.

Seriously though...how bad did Avery have to be to lose a DIE HARD Bama fan? We wouldnt even in it with him as HC.

Watford's want that payday, are we sure our bagmen are/were actually ponying up like they (probably) do for Football?
I know this sounds trolly, but I was listening to Bud Elliot on his podcast talk with one of the more booster connected people, Ingram, and he mentioned how boosters/money guys weren't always willing to open up the checkbook for a coach they felt was losing their grip. It's very possible with Avery the money just wasn't there and thus now we are late to the game trying to come with a strong arse offer.

Watford is still set to come to Alabama's A-Day. We're not out of it yet.

Its obvious Watford is a FOG.

Seriously,Nate needs to tell him that he gets to be at all Bama FBall home games if he comes here.

Really can't believe Thad Matta has not taken a job yet.

Slightly off topic here... I do kind of wish that when coaches push/encourage players to leave, that those players wouldn't have to sit out a year. Not directing this at Oats, but let's say he tells Diante Wood & maybe another current guy that they won't see any playing time and it would be best to seek out another opportunity. If those guys didn't really want to leave, but are being told to, then that coach should be able to vouch to the NCAA for granting immediate eligibility for those players at any school of their choosing. Like Diante Wood shouldn't have to sit out a year only because there wasn't room for him here.

If he gives us half of those points and keeps his rebounds the same i would be happy.

I honestly believe he is waiting for the perfect job. He is still getting those checks from OSU and he gets to spend time with his family, something he genuinely wanted.

I wonder if he'll ever coach again. I thought that he would for sure take a job this season

In the 14 games after returning from injury, Rojas averaged 21.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. During that span, he also shot 51.6 percent overall, including 48.6 percent from 3-point range, and 81.0 percent from the free throw line, and was second on the Blue Dragons with 39 assists and led the team with 22 steals.

Sounds like a good all around player.

Agreed, but that would mean openly admitting roster management happens. Even as Oats talks about guys leaving because they don't fit into his system, he never explicitly states he is showing them the door. The NCAA wants that cover, even though we all know what is happening.

Hell, I don't even need points. Give us another Bola, and I'd be happy.
