Do y'all not realize that we are injury plagued? Petty, Kira, Reese and Herb are all injured or playing hurt

Blame the players the first few years, then blame the coach in year 4/5, fire said coach and hire a new coach, then blame old coach and players for the next 2-3 years after that. Rinse and repeat. Alabama basketball

This magical believe that we are bringing in a bunch of big-time upgrades for what we have on the roster now is pretty rosy. New guys who have zero knowledge of the system and aren't highly recruited or rated.

I'll believe it when I see it.

No one wants to hear it because this was the final nail in the coffin for this season, but Vandy does deserve credit. Doesn't excuse the loss at all. We had everything on the line, and we didn't play like it until the 2nd half. That being said, this Vanderbilt team tonight is no worse than a .500 team in SEC play.

Yep, recruiting is super important in basketball and we better get some decent players, either through transfer or freshman

Vanderbilt’s best player is out for the season and I swear I read they only had 6 scholarship guys playing (that part could be wrong).

So yes, muh injuries, but there’s no justifying/excusing anything that just happened.

It's March, everybody in America is beat up.

Vanderbilt has something like 6 scholarship players playing right now. They lost a lottery pick for the season in January.

I still have 100% faith in Oats.

I'll wait til next season and see what he does when the deck isn't stacked against him and he has the luxury of not having to depend on some of these bums we have out there playing that have no business on an SEC court.

Only things you can say in defense of Oats is this his first year and injury luck.
Injuries cannot be denied.

He swung and missed with essentially all of our top 2020 targets so he better land Primo

Primo is a 5 star you dolt. Ambrose is a top 100 player.

We are scoring plenty. It’s the lack of defense and rebounding and turnovers

I know Cobra. But during Clutch time we always become mental pussies and go cold. And Petty and Herb are the only 2 defenders on the team worth a damn

I'll be shocked if we sign Primo after the way this season has ended.

You really are dumb as shite.

Is reading hard for you? Oats swung and missed on all of his top targets in the early cycle. Nix, Jackson, Burnett etc. Ambrose was the fallback option for every team in his top 5 and we took him.

Now we have a shot at Primo, which would be a huge get, but that doesn’t change anything stated above.

Glad somebody else gets it. They shot like 14/27 from 3.... a lot of those were contested. Contested or not, it was impressive. They beat us at our own game. We couldn’t keep up. It was their night.

I’ve seen a handful of Vandy games this year and I’ve never seen them shoot so well.

I’m not a sunshine pumper and yes we could have been a little better on D but at the end of the night, they made their shots.

Where's that graphic of games missed by players to date and we had twice any body else? Yeah I'm not feeling sorry for Vandy that they lost one player. Vandy has way more than 6 scholarship players playing right now.

One player accounted for almost 44% of their points. As I stated earlier, this is an offense ranked in the 200’s nationally. They just put up 87 on us and played out of their minds; as did Arkansas and A&M and Tennessee and Penn. At some point, it’s not the other team playing great, it’s our team not playing worth a damn on defense.

Me too. Sometimes the other team plays out of their minds, it happens. Good for them.

Not saying we didn't play very badly because we did.

I understand what you’re saying, but we would never have to even be in tight games if we would play defense and rebound and quit making stupid turnovers.

I’m not arguing with ya, I can see your side of it.

Nimari Burnett is the only one that we lost and that’s cause Texas Tech paid him, they weren’t even on his radar until a month or 2 before he committed. We were late on Isaiah Jackson and Nix was always going to UCLA.
