It is incredible how well Herb masks the defense of our big men. The second he goes out everything turns to shite

However, ours are SO BAD that quite literally anyone who can run and chew gum would be an upgrade. So in that sense, we'll have tons of great options out there!

George, you have a better memory than I do. Do you ever remember us being this bad with our bigs? Ever.

I go back to the 89s and with a poor memory, I can’t recall anything like this

Honestly, I would kinda take Giddens over our bigs we have right now

Bola would come in and slap every one of our bigs in the face with his dick. Many of our bigs would ask for seconds

I’m not disappointed with the team tonight. I’m thoroughly fed up with our bigs though. The small guys fought like hell and kept us in this game. Petty almost lost an arm and I’m pretty sure Reese didn’t even scuff a nail. Petty and Herb should start ordering code reds on some of these weak arse folks

I forget which bigs were together, but there were a couple years where our bigs were Moussa and Handball Engstrom weren't there? That was a pretty awful group.

The Jimmie Taylor as a freshman group was pretty awful too.

He was at the very least more athletic around the rim. But he'd foul out in 5 minutes so it'd be moot.

How is doing by the way? Anybody know?

Edit : Just checked - basically the exact same as before (but in a much worse league). Also his ESPN picture looks nothing like him - almost like he got plastic surgery or something.

Giddens and Beetle together would have teams in the bonus within 5 minutes

Been around since the 70's and the answer is no.. We are weaker in the post than any Bama team in 50 years

Thank you. I’ve never seen anything like it. Oats is too classy to do it, but I sure wish that he would rip the bigs

I think, like Saban, he knows when guys just aren't physically up to the task. At that point, talking shite about them is just kind of pointless and mean.

We’re going to be alright. Oats/Oaks has the ship pointed firmly in the right direction. Can y’all imagine in a year or so when we have bigs and when the tre ain’t falling we can dump inside for rim points, we can rebound and we can stop dribble penetration with more than just Herb? It’s going to be glorious.

I’m sure you’re right. I’ve just never seen guys this big, be so useless. I’m frustrated with them. I’d like to kick Avery’s arse

In high school, I was around 5’10. I had more heart than these bigs

The most frustrating part is that they aren't good at anything. If they were bruisers who couldn't score.....ok. If they were finnesse guys who couldn't bang....ok. They can't do any of it! They can't defend, they can't rebound, they can't contribute anything offensively and on top of all that in the event they do get a decent look and get fouled they can't make FTs!

It's a frickin sieve in any lineup we put out there. It destroys half our playbook. How many beautifully run sets do we get the ball to a rolling big where he either (a) fumbles it or misses or (b) gets fouled and then makes 0/2 or 1/2. Like, if you can't pass it off to a big when the defense doubles the guard on a pick and roll......THAT KIND OF PRESENTS A MASSIVE PROBLEM.

Some of us were asking last season, “who will replace Hall”. We were asking. The answer was, Avery didn’t have an answer. He just recruited without filling needs and Oats is having to pay the price.

I’m not being a smartass saying this, but Herb, one handed, has better hands than Galin
