So where does Palm and Parrish have us? I like Norlander the most of the CBS guys, so that’s kind of cool to see him be so high on us.

That means they should let us know about Quinerly before the weekend. If they don’t that’s not being fair to us.

I saw this funny post from somebody on Twitter the other day. I was actually wondering if it was one of you guys

My Top-50 team countdown rolls on today with my #20 team the Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama missed the NCAA Tournament going 18–16 but hired Nate Oats who is poised to bring this basketball program to new heights.

Kira Lewis Jr. was solid last year playing as an underaged guard, he looks forward to take a big step forward this season under Nate Oats. He very easily could end up as an All-SEC player.

James Bolden has been a really solid guard at the guard spot playing at West Virginia. If he can stay healthy, he will make a big impact for this Alabama team.

John Petty has been inconsistent in years past on the offensive end but he’s a really good shooter and could wind up being a major help for this team.

Herb Jones is a really excellent defender, he’s very long and athletic that can switch defensively. If he develops a jump shot he could be a really good piece.

Alex Reese is probably going to start at the 5. He’s a stretch-5 that shot 37 percent from the floor, he will look to take a step forward this season defensively.

Alabama will lose the services of JUCO Transfer James Rojas and Top-100 freshman Juwan Gray to injuries but still should have enough pieces to take a step forward this season.

I really like this Alabama team, there’s a really good amount of talent leftover from the Avery Johnson era. The thing I am willing to bet on is Nate Oats transforming this team offensively to fit his system.

That’s all from bracketologist Jonathan Warriner. He also had this to say about Quinerly:

quote:

I’m not banking on him being cleared to play, most of the waivers have come because of a sick relative or something like that. The thing with the SEC I’ve found is that it’s Florida and Kentucky then a huge drop off after those two.

We are gonna be thin if we don’t get Quinerly. We are only gonna have 7 guys to man the 1-4 spots

I don’t think he’s wrong. The reason for the big drop off is those 2 are legit Final Four contenders. Auburn and UT take a step back due to players exits. The upper half of the SEC is still strong, it’s just that UK and UF are elite, the next 5-6 teams are solid tournament teams whose chances rest on how the team develops over the season.
