in big games or must win games, Avery looked and acted so tense you couldn't have shoved a toothpick up his butthole, and the team played the same way.
Oats was out there yesterday yelling, clapping his hands, pumping his fist getting the team fired up. It’s a night and day difference and I love it.

I mean just a few games ago we did the typical Bama choke and lost to a bad Arkansas and bad Tennessee team at home. I know we didn’t have Herb but it’s not like these chokes are out of our DNA

Yea, it might take a couple of recruiting classes to eliminate all of that. We have recovered nicely though.

Well we did have Herb yesterday and didn’t choke and definitely would have in years past so we are obviously making progress.
No doubt in my mind we would have won Arky and Tenn with herb and would be safely in the tournament right now.

I was confident we were going to lose. I was also furious we didn’t call timeout to get Kira in the game a lot sooner.

My thinking when LSU cut the lead to 1 was damn! Gonna suck getting swept by the cheaters 2 years in a row. Desperately needed that win for lots of reasons.

They scared the shite out of me when LSU cut it to one. I was already cussing them for no guts. To find a way to win, well, kudos.
I’m really worried about this “easy” stretch just because old habits die hard. We absolutely should have killed Missouri at home. They were a bad team playing bad. But they kept it close. I know shitty officials and inhuman free throw shooting was part of it but still. I can see Bama relaxing a little bit now and backsliding into some maddening bad habits like turnovers. I hope I’m wrong. If I am, Oats is a fricking wizard.

We should be favored in 5 of these last 6 games, I don't think Oats has to be a wizard for us to go 4 and 2. We just have to take care of business.
We beat them by 14 even with them going like 28 for 28 at the free throw line. What more do you want? lol

Missouri was actually 31 of 31 at the FT line that game!
I was at the game beside press row and one of the reporters was looking it up and said it was around 6th best all time . The NCAA record is 34 of 34.
