I bag on the football student section and the OOS component having to do with it.....but that same OOS component has helped make our basketball student section fantastic. They have great crowds almost every night, are loud and are disruptive.
Compare that to some other places (cough LSU cough) and it's noticeable.

LOL I'm not gonna bag on the kid for going to LSU but he made a choice to go to LSU instead of Alabama. He does not have a "love 4 the University" nor is he "one of our own" (in a University of Alabama sense).

I remember Alabama Bball fans getting a lot of flack last year even from Wimp Sanderson, who blamed a lot of our lack of success on lack of fan support. Well there were obvious reasons for the lack of fan support. The home environment vs Auburn and LSU especially this year were unreal. Bama fans are hungry for a good Bball team and will support it. I hope this sends a message to Byrne and others to start putting the money into it that it deserves.
