A lot of effort that was missing last year was present tonight. Also, how many times did you see Avery go to a player with a clipboard on the side while the other team was shooting free throws? Oats did it several times. We had 3 or 4 beautifully drawn in bounds plays. I believe in the direction we’re going. Going to be a tough go for this season, but the program as a whole is trending up.
But I agree, it sucks. I lost my voice tonight 3 days before the biggest football game of the season.

It's Bama basketball, the last 13 years have shown Bama is a lower tier SEC basketball team.
I don't know why anyone expects anything different. 4th head coach in that time and things remain the same.

We'll see. I like Oats but we won't know whether it's gonna work anytime soon I don't think. Hopefully as the season progresses things gel and we see progress.

No it’s not the same and if you can’t see that, you haven’t been watching. This is exactly like Saban’s first season. You can see the improvement but there just isn’t enough dudes.

Hopefully Herb is ok and we get better.
The body of work we laid out on the floor tonight will go 14-19 with our OOC schedule and tough league slate.

It's not a terrible team but the holes are massive and there is just absolutely no relief on our schedule.
It's game 1 in a new system so it'd be foolish to act like what we saw is what we'll get for 30 games....but if you did take this and extrapolate it out....yea I'm not sure it reaches .500.

Avery could bring in stars, but his recruiting was all over the place. The best I can do is compare it to Gus down at Auburn.
