They both played their rim protector position though is mainly what hurt, that’s definitley a strength of Kansas’ that they didn’t have vs Tenn since De Sousa and McCormack both play that same role. I think Kansas would’ve beat them badly with those two.
Without those two Kansas is probably gonna struggle a bit.

It is now since he is their only big, they had three good bigs before the suspension.
De Sousa and McCormack were both 5 star recruits, De Sousa doesn’t get a ton of minutes be he would have with McCormack out.

One thing I noticed about Kansas is when Azibuke is on the floor they are Very VERY good. When he isn’t on the floor they become average. So the way to beat Kansas is get him in foul trouble
Yea they are definitely a flawed team - as if basically everyone in college basketball not named Baylor at this point IMHO.
Azibuke is a damn man child.

I did say Tennessee was Jekyll and Hyde though, they are definitely better than they showed at Georgia losing by 17. We can’t overlook them.

What do ya'll think about Tom Crean at Georgia by the way, starting off 1 and 5 in conference is pretty brutal, especially with the number 1 projected NBA draft pick on your team. Losing to Ole Miss at home by 10 last game was an especially terrible loss.

Looks a whole helluva lot like the teams we used to watch for the last 20 years. No true system, not a ton of development, needs a bunch of elite talents to win.
Feel the same way watching Howland's teams at State.
Lawd I don't miss that one iota.

He throws his players under the bus a lot too, not a fan.

I wanted Crean to come to Bama. I’m stupid. We are so much better off with Oats.

I was at the Tennessee Kansas Game. (Daughter and Son in Law live in Kansas City) Tennessee had no answer for the Kansas Center. Also they only made like 2 3 pointers. Poor shooting and poor passing resulting in turnovers doomed the Volunteers. On a side note, Allen Fieldhouse is the absolute BEST College Basketball Venue. A true "Bucketlist" trip.

Richmond @ VCU
Rhode Island @ George Mason
Couple of important games tonight for NET purposes.
Also, why is GT playing Morehouse College tonight?

What if I told you an AP voter ranked Memphis 18th last week, then watched Memphis lose two games to a pair of unranked teams -- including one game by 40 points -- and then just decided to still rank Memphis 18th again this week?

That is random in the middle of the season.

Same. Honestly, it's hard to blame us. Crean had fun offenses at Indiana and has shown he can recruit.
Glad it worked out the way it did though. Love Oats.

Kira Lewis makes it too easy to root for him. The upside is obvious, really on both ends. He fights through screens, his athleticism allows him to cover ground. Just needs to keep adding strength and at the least he can be a serviceable defender. Easy first round grade for me

He gone after this season, no doubt in my mind.
Gonna need big minutes from Quinerly next season at the point.

Richmond and VCU tied at the half
Rhode Island up 10 on George Mason at the half

Looking at Quinerlys high school stats, one thing that is surprising to me, is how good of a three point shooter he was. I always heard about his driving ability and his passing as his strengths but had no idea he was such a good shooter in HS.
Here's his HS 3 point stats
Freshman - 43 of 102 42%
Sophomore - 57 of 128 45%
Junior - 61 of 140 44%
Senior - 59 of 123 48%

He has a chance to be really special in Oat's system imo.

I'm surprised Richmond is tied with VCU, I expected VCU to win that one pretty big at home, and they may still, but at least it's close so far.
