Is that a team record for 3’s?

The Tide breaks the program record of points scored in a true road game, surpassing the current holder of 102 points scored back in 2004 VS. Charlotte in triple overtime.

FINAL: @AlabamaMBB 105, Samford 87. The 105 points is the most by Alabama since a 105-93 win over Louisiana in November 2016. John Petty finished with 39 points, the most for a UA player since Colin Sexton’s 40 in the 3-on-5 game vs. Minnesota. Tide now 5-5.

I would say Petty was decent.

Could not watch game because of ESPN+. Second straight game missed.

Petty was unreal. He's had a really nice season. The guy might hustle more than anyone else

No, we got ahead like 24 to 4 at one point. they caught back up in the first 10 minutes of the second half and got it down to about an 8 point game, then we extended the lead again from there on out.

Like someone said earlier, at least we’re scoring a lot of points and having these fast paced games. It’s much more fun to watch than anything I’ve ever seen at Bama

good thing our shots were dropping as we will lose most games when we give up 87 points to a mid major. I am still not sold on this team

Well it’s not a great team. They still have bad habits from previous coaches. But Nate is getting improvement out of them slowly, but surely. Face it, we are playing some players that shouldn’t play just because there’s no other choice. I like what I see. I see a team that is short on real upper SEC talent in a couple of spots, no depth, average shooting, and some bad habits from lack of previous coaching/teaching. I also see a team that is giving good effort, buying in, hustling, and staying competitive and improving. When it got to an 8 point game last night, an Avery led team would have tightened up and started making mistakes from the pressure and may have very well found a way to lose to Samford. Instead, they buckled down and cruised to a W. It wasn’t perfect and I think you could tell Samford didn’t get the team’s full attention and focus (those bad habits) but they did what they had to do. This team can play with anybody despite their shortcomings. And when they minimize the mistakes and turnovers they will win a few games they maybe shouldn’t but for now, just watch and enjoy their growth and development. And think of the future because it’s looking good for a change for Bama basketball.

Last night was a bit of a wild ride but definitely a solid win and the way we held firm the last 5 minutes was a good step forward. We need as many of those as possible to chip away at the loser mentality, even if it is Samford. They made a run and kept making shots and we just kept matching them and then pulled away. That's a big deal mentally.

We're down to #74 in KenPom - we were #85 going into the Penn State game. We've played 3 straight pretty solid ballgames. The next one on Saturday against Belmont is huge - they are very solid again. Need a big turn out in Huntsville.

Did y’all see Oats post game interview? He was not happy with how we played and said that they played harder than us.

Love it.

When was the last time a Bama player had as many points as Petty? Sexton? Releford in that triple overtime game @LSU?
