I heard he was spotted at the game with D Carter.

I still don't understand how Carter had so much hype

Yep. That will be the watershed moment for DeBoer. Georgia will put pressure on us all night. If Milroe struggles I’m interested to see how the staff handles the situation.

They will only pull Milroe if Mack is ready most likely smh.

I’ve been on Bama message boards since Titus Ryan.

It sad but true, it is why Mack is "technically" 4th. Good part is next year, no politics with the new staff. Mack will move past Simpson and Lonergan. It is going to be a big year.

Much to everyone's surprise, Ty Simpson hung around because he was promised something. Maybe money, maybe the starting job, maybe both. So I seriously doubt he'll be passed up by Mack.

Stuck around this year but next year he will be running out of time. It will be a true competition and on the end Mack will likely win out. There is a reason he transferred and why he is one of Debeor's guys that fits his system. Big, Strong, doesn't scramble out. A lot like Penix. Ty is great but focuses a lot on running lowers his accuracy. He will likely end up in a Lincoln Riley like system.

I wish would Deboer would rotate the 2 and make everyone happy. It could be like the Zow and Watts days.

The greatest coach of all time started a struggling Jalen Hurts over one of the best quarterbacks we’ve ever had until he was forced to make a change.

Coaches make these decisions for a lot of reasons, and it’s not always based on talent.

To be clear, I don’t think they make those decisions like that when there are large gaps in talent. I think in this case, Milroe is a good player - good enough to win a lot of games. He has also successfully made himself the face of the program, because he’s got a great personality and is a great representative & ambassador.

But Ty Simpson is a better quarterback.

When Jake Coker came aboard, it was a poorly kept secret that Lane wanted to start him but that the team wouldn't play for him. Blake Sims was immensely popular. Kiffin and Saban were facing revolt.

I personally think Milroe is starting for similar reasons and had he transferred, our acute post Saban talent hemorrhage would've worsened. For locker room political reasons, Jalen Milroe is our starter.

I agree Ty is better and with a little more experience there would be no question. He understands the offense better and can process faster than Jalen. Ty might have a little too much confidence which led to that interception.

Jalen did show some progress especially on the 2nd TD pass to Williams. He just needs to build on that.

This is exactly right. I see Ty very much like Sims and Mack being like Coker. This time though Debeor wont have to deal with holding the locker room like Saban cause the Ty guys won't revolt they will respect CKD's decision to go with Mack.

I think two different staffs have been handcuffed by the emotions of people in and around the program.

This doesn’t explain why Tyler fricking Buchner started over Simpson

Threads like this give bama fans a bad name. Really should be locked and/or deleted. I'm all about discussing and opinions, but this just screams click bait... Designed to stir up people. Well, you gotv what you wanted. Really hope you can see yourself out.

Well, you would know better than Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer. That's why you're a multimillionaire head football coach and they've only ever posted about football on some message board.

Oh, wait...

Pete Golding, BoB, Gene Chizik, Ed O, Larry Coker, and Cam Cameron are all multimillionaire coaches and they are terrible coaches. What’s your point?
