Do these walk-ons think they're gonna get a scholly somewhere else just by jumping in the portal? Why not just walk-on at another school you think you have a better chance finding some PT at? The portal needs some major tweaks. Out of control.

Christian Harris must really be torn about this decision. He's really the only one left we're waiting to hear from, I guess. Would love to have him back one more year.

Any word on L. Ray? I think he technically has one more covid year left. Does he want to play anymore? Do we have a spot for him? Poor dude has been injured his whole career.

It’s out of control that a walk-on paying their own way might try to find a school that will cover their expenses for them? That’s like, the least out of control thing about the portal

Gotta think guys like Wynn and Jones-Bell will portal out soon. Bama needs the spots and they need another program to find PT.

Missed the whole point. Do walk-ons think Kirby Smart, Brian Kelly and Nick Saban are scouring the thousands of kids in the portal looking for walk-ons to give a scholarship to? Of course not. They are gonna sit in the portal and get left there just like the vast majority of these kids who jump in.They will end up walking on at South Alabama or Jackson St. and they don't need to be in the portal to do that.

Some might wait until after spring drills to make a decision. They have to May to make a call and still be able to play in the fall.

Sark really should have stayed as an OC. He's in way over his head as a HC in Austin. This will end badly for everyone. Hopefully we have an OC opening when he gets fired in 2-3 years.

Do they not have to abide by the same rules as those on scholly? In order to speak with other programs don't you have to be in the portal?

You may be right. I was under the impression it was for scholarship players to prevent premature tampering from other schools. Didn’t think that would apply to walk ons but it may.

I think he should go! I think he will rise up the boards once he gets to the combine because he will test good. He is a smart kid and very hardworking as well.

Nobody in their right mind would stay as an OC instead of being the Texas HC. If nothing else there’s a sweet buyout waiting at the end of that road and he’ll be the hottest OC candidate on the market if things don’t turn around at Texas for him.

Correct me if I’m wrong but if Harris comes back then Mathis is the only starter on the defense from the NCG we are losing….correct?

With respect, I just don't get that super talented at all. The guy was at Bama for 3 years and he never knocked anybody on their azz while blocking. He caught some passes when wide azz open (give credit for that) and that is about the extent of his time at Bama.
