When Penix was a sophomore at Indiana he carved up Ohio State for 491 yards and 5 TDs. He outplayed Justin Fields. If not for season ending injuries for two of his college seasons Penix would be in the NFL.

He was at Indiana playing against Ohio State and balled! He's not elite?! Stop it.

You just said exactly why we don’t need him. If he transfers here we will lose Ty and Milroe. If he gets hurt for a 3rd time in 4 years we have a true freshman starting. Saban will likely have the Ty/Milroe competition go into the first game of the season. That means we keep both for 2023. Plus, taking a transfer in to start at QB makes it hard to recruit HS QBs. They lose faith in the chance to start as a freshman or sophomore. We’d likely lose Sayin too. I’d rather have those three than a beat up transfer who’s only real competition ever was one game against OSU 2 years ago.

So fricking what?

That same season we beat the absolute shite out of them.

If he was elite he'd be moving on to the NFL, not sticking around for a 6th season of college football.

Stop it.

How bout you stop it? Your "takes" are fricking terrible and getting worse by the day.

Jesus.

You used to be a really good poster. Now you're an idiot with a megaphone.

Exactly.
He’s currently projected as a 2024 4th rounder. Shaft would have us all believe he’s the next Bama first rounder though. Lol

Maybe if he came we could get RGIII to call a game and hit us with another “Big Penix Energy”

I change my vote. Let’s get him now! Lol

Alabama is supposed to beat Ohio State. Indiana being competitive against Ohio State? No.

If you watched Penix play this season you know a 4th round projection is not accurate.

There was a time when people said Joe Burrow wasn't elite because he stayed in college 5 years. Older QBs because of NIL is becoming the norm.

This is Washington vs. Oregon. Look at the offense rather than making up stuff.

Do you not understand the risk of bringing him in? He would have to he can’t miss to trade him for Milroe and Ty. He’s not can’t miss. I’m not even sure he’d make it though the first half of the sec schedule without an injury.

1. No one is watching this entire game.
2. Oregons defense is nothing like the SEC.

I find it very funny that some want to doubt Grubb and Pac 12 football when Saban has already hired 4 OCs who had significant backgrounds coaching in either the Pac 12 or the Pac 12 geographic region. Nussmeier (UW), Kiffin (Fresno, USC), Sark (BYU, USC, UW), McElwain (Eastern Washington).

Did I tell you to watch the entire game? How old are you? You can't be an adult.

Anyone doubting Grubb is a fool. Their system is fantastic.

I haven’t seen anyone doubt the coach. We have doubted the QB is elite in the SEC. The coach has a really good resume.

I have no idea where he got that from. I must have missed it. I haven’t seen anyone doubt Grubb.

Shaft has an opinion, I have no issue with that. Stating your opinions and supporting the statements is what makes this place go.

Projecting how fabulous a player might be in your system or your league is much like getting a 5* high school super star and the next year getting a 4* that played in a different HS league. One may have all of the attention, a hot girl friend, more prototypical QB size. The other may be a coaches son's, a better leader and better running ability. The 5* may end up going to 3 or 4 different schools in college and end up with a video blog. Then the 4* might end up as the QB for one of the Super Bowl teams. Transative properties and dis-similar league comparisons cannot replaceside-by-side evaluations in the same league or on the same team.

What I'm saying is when it comes to offensive football west coast guys know what they're doing. It's immaterial who they're playing against because they often lack the OL and DL talent of teams in the SEC.
