I don't really have anything positive to say about last night except at least we won.
Of all the poor individual and team statistics from last night, including being out rebounded again, the most surprising and damning to me is the fact that we had 0 fast break points.
Hopefully Hale realizes how selfish his actions were and becomes a leader for the rest of the season.
We need his scoring ability if we are going to continue having a successful season.
Coleman reverted back to his former self last night. Took six shots, five from behind the arc, and missed them all. Three assists and five turnovers.
Just piss poor all the way around. We will get embarrassed regularly in conference games playing like that. Hopefully we look a lot better on Saturday.
All of this, plus terrible free throw shooting from guys that are supposed to be good at it.
I expect Taylor to be terrible at the line. Any points from him there are just a bonus, so him going 5-10 was as good as it gets.
But Retin & Riley Norris are 70% or better FT shooters.
Retin went 6-12 and Norris went 3-7. As ugly as the game was, Bama wins in regulation if they only shoot their season averages. Hell, Retin just needed to make ONE at the end to win it in regulation and he bricked them both.
Best thing to do is just accept it for what it is - an ugly win but still a win. Hopefully it was just a case of only playing 2 games in 2 weeks and they'll get the rhythm back now that there will be more of a regular routine.
Getting Hale back won't hurt either.

OB has really struggle with Hale being out.

Yeah he's been absolutely awful

Yeah dude has be terrible. Sometimes I wonder if we beat Oregon if it was Retin that was out instead of Ingram.
He can't make lay ups, free throws, jumpers and he turnsover the ball... he is frustrating.

His ball handling can be pretty bad too. Guy just loses the ball sometimes when he drives towards the basket.
Retin has been off these last two games, but still say he's one of our most dangerous players. Still holding out for him to step up the way he did through the ND-Clemson stretch. Just wish Hale could get back.

Excellent opportunity for more exposure for the program.

Yep. Finish the OOC strong with a big win tonight and get ready for OM

It'd be nice if this was a very stress free game

For real. Love that we're winning, but damn, I was up the wall holding, my breath, hoping JSU would turn the ball over or something.
Good news is that I think Taylor has finally emerged as the inside presence. Instead of just scoring with inside hand lay ups and dunks, he's become more physical and actually attempting some sKY hooks.

I wouldn't say it to his face, but Taylor is such a poon. He is so weak around the basket.

We've played 5 straight bad halves
Posted on 1/2/16 at 1:48 pm to Bryant91092
I don't know of any program in the country that shoots as bad as Alabama does on a consistent basis. Year after year, they go on these long arse scoring droughts and can't even make a fricking wide open lay up. How can a team be so stagnant so often
Posted on 1/2/16 at 1:49 pm to Gary Busey
And defensively, my god. Defend the god damn baseline!!! Stop leaving you man wide arse open and crowd the paint!!! fricks sake
Posted on 1/2/16 at 2:02 pm to Gary Busey
Well shite we've started out pretty good so far I'd say.
Posted on 1/2/16 at 2:31 pm to Gary Busey
Whole lot of bitching and moaning for a game we will win by 20

Man Edwards is just money from the 3. If Hale gets fully healthy, we'll have a pretty solid perimeter game.
