cupboard is bare guys, suprised this team faired as wel as they did considering what we have on the court. a good run in the NIT will be a success for this team IMO.

unless he leaves the team he will be back along with Coleman. All Coleman is good for is giving someone a blow. He has had a couple games in his career where he has scored points though.

I would be surprised if we win one in the NiT as we are not peaking. We beaked a couple weeks ago.

Bad free throws, bad rebounding.
Just feel terrible that it's many times the little things that make the huge difference.

I don't think we'll win a NIT game. We are having to start guys that would be bench players on other teams. We need to infuse a lot of talent by next year.

If/when we lose our first tourney game, do we make the NIT? Really terrible end to the season.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if we didn't make the NIT. I want to see what kind of changes Avery will make.

I can't wait until the first season we have 0 players that played under Grant. That'll be a fun time for Bama basketball.

I hope either we find a coach on staff who can teach fundamentals on blocking out and rebounding or we fire our strength coach because he's the common denominator of our team being the opponent's bitch each night.

Avery has partially let us down.
No. We have 0 talented players that are consistent enough to win at this level besides Obasohan. They all want to depend on Obasohan to do the work. Avery can't help that Kessens is soft and Taylor can't jump to rebound. He can't help that Ingram is out. He can't help that Norris' shooting is off bc of a hand injury. And he couldn't help Edwards going out today. Not excuses, just facts. We played to our teams max potential. This group has always been an NIT caliber team and u can thank Grant for recruiting most of these guys. Wait until we get some of Avery's players and the pace of play is picked up. Avery hasn't let us down, the players have.

I think Avery needs to let the strength guy go and also consider letting Pettway go. I know everyone likes Pettway, but it might be time to have all ties to Grant cut.

You can't get rid of Pettway with this good of an in-state class coming up. Now if we miss out on all the instate 2017 guys, then the next off season I wouldn't be opposed.

The state of Alabama is loaded with good talent in the 2017 class.

We have Armond Davis and Braxton Key. They're both really good from what I've heard. I watched Key play once on TV and he was the best player on the court. Haven't seen Armond yet but he's supposed to be good. Ferguson was our other commit but he's gone now and "considering" us lol. Baylor or Kansas likely will get him. We're still trying to land big man Bruno Fernando. I think we have a decent shot at him. Those three would make a huge difference next year. Nick King and Avery Johnson Jr are eligible next year and it wouldn't surprise me if we added a grad transfer. We'll be in good shape (NCAA tourney shape) next year I think.

Edit: oh yeah, forgot Dazon Ingram will be back next year too. RTR! #BuckleUp

Here's Avery's thoughts on today's game. He criticized the team for their effort rebounding. One thing that stood out was his quote on Shannon Hale. Here's the link LINK

Hale and Kessens piss me off, but at least Hale can score sometimes.

Kessens is worthless. Now I know why he played at Longwood or wherever it was, bc no one else wanted him, except Grant of course.
