Still have @USCe, @UK, @UF, and vs Aggie.
We're sitting right in the 50s in RPI and Ken Pom has us pretty low.

Do we have a loss yet that would officially appear as a "bad loss" yet? No bad losses is very resume friendly. Don't see many bubble teams without one.

Auburn would probably count as a bad loss. But even that isn't really that bad.

Going by the NCAA RPI, we have 4 losses vs teams that are in the top 16 (UK, Dayton, Xavier, and Oregon), 3 losses vs 50-100 RPI (LSU, Vandy, and Auburn), and one loss outside the top 100 (Ole Miss).
So no "bad" losses, but it would certainly have helped to not have dropped the close games against Auburn, Ole Miss, and LSU- although LSU is trending in the right direction.

I was shocked to find out we won this game this morning since I quit on the team and cut the t.v. off last night. Lesson learned.

I'm not one for making brash predictions, but I think Alabama wins this one.

That would be much more impressive than the W we already hold over them.

to have a legit shot at the tourney we'd have to win 8 out the next 11 to close out the regular season. On top of that we'd probably need an additional win in the SEC tourney

Or we could win all 11 and then win the SECT.

Same. I got home from a kids game, saw we scored 2 points in the first 5 minutes, turned it off. Turned it back on when we were down 6 in the second half, couldn't stand to watch.
I wouldn't even look at my phone for the ESPN alert at the end of the game.
I was very happy this morning when I did look!
But winning at USCe.....don't see it happening. We haven't played well at all on the road lately.

Here are the things that give me a good feeling.
(1) I don't think it is particularly fair to say Bama hasn't played well on the road. They've played about as good as any of the mid-pack SEC teams.
(2) South Carolina isn't playing particularly well anywhere right now. If Carrera doesn't get 34 (previous career high = 22) last night, they lose at home to Mississippi State.
(3) Shannon Hale is getting back into the swing of things. Both his minutes and points (except v LSU) per game have steadily increased since he returned. He's gone over 30 minutes in the last 2 games. Norris probably won't go Larry Bird again, but Hale should be able to pick up some of that load.
(4) I don't think Frank Martin is a particularly good coach and I don't think he's anywhere near Avery Johnson's level.
I'll also add that if Hall brings the energy and play he had last night, that's another element that I like in Bama's favor.
They may get blown out. When you're walking a tightrope due to a talent deficiency, there's always a chance for the perfect storm of suck to arrive but in this case I really like our chances at pulling the road upset.

Attack the past and get Carrera in foul trouble

I don't expect to make the NCAA Tournament because I don't think this team has enough in the tank to both (a) win a game or two they shouldn't AND (b) win all the games they should.
However, if we somehow win 3 of our next 4 games, we are squarely in the middle of things.
14-9 (5-6), RPI probably around 40-50 (depending on how bad Mizzou/MSU hurt our RPI) with either a road win at USCe or a home win vs A&M. We'd go into the home stretch of tough games (@ UF, @ LSU, MSU, @ UK) right in the conversation.
I don't EXPECT that, but the fact that it is even possible is amazing.

Let's hope USC shoots as poorly as they did the first time around and that Jimmie/Hall hold their own against the big foreign guys they have.
