Still too early to tell for Avery. I really thought the offense would look better than this though. I get adjusting to the players you have, but it really might be time to say "frick it" and implement your philosophy.

Raiders just officially made the playoffs, so I'm happy now.

I remember when the game at the VBC was announced, I was super excited...now that it's next week I feel hesitant to go...even though I will. Hopefully our guys won't jack up NBA 3's..since I believe the only playing court they have is the old NBDL one.

So what do y'all expect against Arkansas State? I know they have a top 20 RPI but idk anything about them. I really don't want to lose and be 5-6.

I'm glad I missed this game.
I guess I'm just about to crank up the "wait til next year" bus.

I haven't watched them but they beat Georgetown and Chattanooga. TCU blew them out tough

Not really Averys fault that the players shoot brick after brick from beyond the arc and everywhere else from the floor.
I'm extremely disappointed with today; pissed actually. I was on the Grant train until the last year. I think Avery is the right man, but he still needs his own players.

First half was brick after brick, second half was airball after airball. Why can't they combine the two and hit a shot?

if we are a bad shooting team then what kind of offense should we run?

That's the worst I've felt about this team. Ugh. Just a bad performance. And it seemed like Clemson hit every jumper they took. Maybe it's just me, but it almost feels like AJ is substituting too much. They got off to a decent start and in no time there were guys coming in off the bench sucking it up. It's not like we're really running an uptempo offense. No need to substitute just for the sake of substituting. I don't know. I guess if the guys coming in were better it would work better.
If I were coaching, I think I'd leave Dazon, Hall, Bola, and Key on the floor all game except for strategic rests.

Avery jr had a terrific game statistically. He is going to be one of the main players for us this year; never would have thought that. Like his hustle and desire plus seems to be the only one who can score around the basket like Retin.

Bola starts then plays under 10 minutes seemingly every game

Bad thing is, Avery Johnson already said it's hard for him to start AJ Jr bc it's his son. Even if Avery Jr ends up being our best player, I don't think Coach will start him bc he's scared people will say he's favoring his son

Really hard to beat a zone when you can't shoot worth a shite. Having said that, Avery is having a tough time attacking these super dense and packed in zones. In the NBA you don't have to worry about it because even the worst 3pt shooting team shoots well enough to destroy zone sets. So, yes, some of it is Avery's inability to attack the zone, but it's mostly the fact that we went 3-20 from deep.

In the beginning we all thought that too but he is proving his worth every game. Texas A&M recruited him for a reason and wasnt he a four star recruit? Avery has to increase his minutes,he is our one-eyed jack in a roster of blind mice.

If he keeps playing like he did tonight, he'll continue to get more minutes and no one will complain. I don't think that's really anything to worry about.

They recruited him to get other recruits. He was a very low 3-star. He played very well today and has been very solid the last few games, but I wouldn't say he's our best player. Not by a long shot.
