Richmond runs stuff with personnel that we haven't seen all year. They are 4 guards and a big guy and any missed assignment leads to a 3.

I'm as hard on our guys as anybody, but this is almost like playing a wishbone team. We never see this. It's a tough assignment, especially for dudes used to guarding 6'8 bangers.

That was a joke. We just got worked. A few good SEC tourney games aside, we imploded down the stretch for the second straight year. Avery better produce next year

That almost makes it more disturbing, since the coaches weren't able to get them prepared. It's more comfortable just to say this year's team wasn't good.

lol, we go from almost beating Kentucky in an arena controlled by UK fans, to getting shot out of the building in our own shitty arena.

We struggle with good PGs. They can get to the hoop whenever they like.

Didn't hurt them either, except their reputation with us fans.

Besides, had they advanced the extra practice could have been beneficial moving forward. Missed opportunity, as TRTR said. If they don't show significant improvement next year, it's possible that we made need another coaching change. Can't hesitate to pull the trigger like we did with Grant.

I have to disagree George. We lacked effort in this game. It was really an awful performance that lacked effort on the defensive end. With Oakland winning a missed opportunity also. Key was horrid.

Guys.........I love you........but it's a postseason tournament against a good mid-major. These things happen.

Playing a fast, 4 guard lineup who ALL shoot 3's is a tough matchup to prepare for when you NEVER play teams like that. Our guys were not prepared to have to run off screens and chase guys around always ready to pop from 3. It sucks, but it happens. It happens in the NCAA Tournament ALL THE TIME.

I mean, I was hoping for a better run in the NIT after the SECT, but it's nowhere near the end of the world. It's much more a "oh well" and move on.

That was not the same level of focus & effort we played with in the SEC tourney. Not at all.

Well, good news is I don't have to get invested into this bull shite until next season. I can finally sit back and enjoy some quality basketball, instead of sitting through length painful hours of watching a putrid fricking offense go 8 minutes without scoring so much as an easy layup. Thanks for repeatedly kicking me in the balls once again, Alabama.

Did you watch the same game? We had guys watching instead of closing out and let guys drive right down the lane without anyone stopping the ball multiple times. I feared we'd play like we didn't want to be there, and we did.

They were the better team. Fore been there since 2011 lol. We have the better athletes they had the better basketball players that simple. In do agree with the effort part. I don't know now we always get those guys like that but I bet if Key was at Duke his arse would be playing hard.

We played the same in the NIT last year. We can't go from wanting a NCAA tournament birth to being satisfied with 1 and done in the NIT
