I'm actually a little excited about the NIT now. Loved the way we finished strong the last 3 games and it would be great to win an NIT championship heading into next year.

Very impressed, especially considering all the phantom foul calls we got called for at the end. Even the UK fan I watched it with didn't see most of the fouls they were calling (and he's homer as frick).

After looking good these past 3 games, I reallly hope we don't lay an egg in our first NIT game and have a terrible taste going into the offseason.

I hope we don't either. But this team fought this hard bc they wanted to make the NCAA tourney, not the NIT. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we come out flat and lose in the first game. Hopefully they realize that an NIT championship and 20+ wins is still achievable and they play hard

I hope not but that's the Alabama way...a player always tries early. Well that's what it was like under Gottfried.

I'm proud of them for the way they fought. Didn't bend over and take it like Grants teams. RMFT!!

I still wish we could squeeze in the big dance, but the NIT, humbly admitting, could be just what the doctor ordered for us. Provided we can play well, the NIT teams are just the type competition we need to face.

The NIT will have some really good teams. Possible teams are Syracuse, Indiana, Valpo, Clemson, Georgia, Ole Miss. Whoever wins the NIT this year is gonna have to play really good. These aren't some little pushover teams.

What is really strange is that the NIT typically has a higher RPI rating per team than the NCAA tournament, due to all of small conference automatic qualifiers in the NCAA.

True. If we win the first round, we may be playing Indiana in the second...
