We play Ball state tonight at 9:00 EST on the SECN.
We are currently 8 point favorites without a total posted, at least on my site.
Ball State is 1-1.
They won @ Saint Louis 85-64 and lost at home to Indiana State 80-74.

This is the type of game we would always seem to lose in the Grant era. Against a team that we are clear favorites against at home after a tough loss against a good team. It would be very encouraging to see our guys come out and handle business from start to finish and win this game by double digits.

I unfortunately will miss the game, so hopefully we win. I think we have a good size advantage to be able to attack the paint and work on Hall's offensive game.

Think it got missed on the last page, what type of crowds are you pulling in right now?
2/3 of Auburn's games have been 8pm (9pmEST) weekday tipoffs. Not many alumni want to travel 3-4 hours round trip to watch Auburn vs Eastern Kentucky. I imagine the proximity to Birmingham for ya'll helps out with the crowd?

First game of the season?
That still is an extremely solid showing. Auburn has been lucky to get around 5-6,000 of our ~9500 capacity.
Student section is completely full. Alumni

Yeah that was the first game and it was a pretty good crowd from what I could see on TV. I went to the opener last year and I think there was like 13k there and it was some sort of record for the most people at an Alabama opener in years I think. I wonder if that record was broken this year. Looks like it may have been.

Yeah, and if the Dayton game wasn't at noon on a weekday, I think it would have been sold out.
Curious to see what attendance will be tonight as it is a Friday night after a loss.

Are those actual attendance numbers or tickets sold?

Not sure tbh, it was listed on the game recaps from rolltide.com.

Alabama now -8.5 is what I'm seeing.

I believe Auburn basketball technically is a "sellout". Just like this Alabama A&M football game is a "sellout" with entire upperdeck sections empty
A loud rowdy environment makes a huge difference for how enjoyable a game is, even the minor teams.

And even those numbers that were posted are true...Coleman often seems pretty quiet..it takes a 10-0 run to get people cheering

Not against Dayton. It was a great atmosphere almost the entire second half. Which I consider a big upgrade from Coleman in the Grant era.

I guess watching on TV is a bit different, but crowd doesn't rowdy at all and I'm not comparing them to UK or Duke environment. Guess we have our own definition of 'great'.
