100% agree with that its been that way for a long time. The more I think I believe we would've been better off with the guys that they pushed out. Kessens and the kid that went to Memphis are no different than Bola and Collins lol.

Edit: Sorry I'm melting this morning, just get sick and tired of missing the tourney every year and it just builds up anger over time lol

You don't have anything to be sorry about. You held out hope longer than most of us.

I don't think Tarrant was pushed out. He chose to leave after Grant was fired

This Alabama team is filled with D-2 players. Hale looked good walking in the door, but then he put on his uniform and went on the floor. In the case of Taylor, there's no excuse for his presence on the roster(Grant must have been caught nailing his mother). Norris (bless his heart) just can't get past his "white boy" affliction. You could possibly overlook his slowness and lack of jumping ability if only he had a consistant shot.
I hope Coach Johnson can quickly bring in his own kids to play his style of ball. You can tell that its just killing him to watch what's going on out on the floor and not having the people to help him (can we spell "point guard"? ).
I don't intend this post to be mean spirited, but sometimes it gets to the point where its gotta be told like it is.

Only positive is this season is almost over. Then it becomes the 2017-18 off-season and we can focus on Sexton, Petty, and the others

Did everyone actually think that we were making the tourney this year? Some of you are just irrational. I'm afraid that even when we start winning and making the tournament on a regular basis that some of you won't even enjoy it then.

I want to win too but I choose to see improvement.

1. We went from worst in the league to best in the league in rebounding. That is coaching.

2. We've already won 3 SEC road games including a blowout at UGA. (It was only 3 seasons ago when we didn't win a single road game non-conference or conference for the ENTIRE year.)

3. Braxton Key is our MVP and he isn't going pro early. We have our best player for 3 more years. Dazon is next and we have him for at least 2 more (I know he's a freshman but probably won't stay for 5).

4. To say that the players don't care is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. We outrebounded Auburn by 20 and got to most of the loose balls the other night. They could have given up early but fought back unsuccessfully and almost gave themselves an improbable chance at victory. Don't talk about players not caring.

5. We just signed maybe the most hyped class we have ever signed. We signed a player at every position.

Relax.

I didn't think we'd make the tournament, but I also didn't expect us to lose to Auburn twice, still have a pitiful offense, and our only good win to be @Georgia.

I think we need another pg in this class..,if sexton gets in foul trouble Avery Jr isn't the answer and neither is Ingram.

Getting swept by Auburn is what made me sick. They don't play good against most teams but they try harder against us and beat us both times. Why cant we try harder against them, especially on our home court in front of a sold out crowd?

Ingram and AJ Jr are good enough. Herb and Petty are good open floor ball handlers, and point guards don't usually get into foul trouble anyways.

This isn't really true/misleading. Most of our 15 wins come from dominating the opponent and hopefully have a big enough lead to not choke it away similar to the Bama game on Saturday. Our games aren't nearly as competitive as they look in the box scores for the first ~35min

In all the games below, AUburn looed dominate and had a 10+pt lead only to have a result that looked awful in comparison

Games Auburn almost (or did) blow 10+ pt 2nd half leads

- @Bama - 2min 15pt -> 5pt win
- @TCU - 5min 21pt-> 8pt win
- LSU 10min 15pt lead -> 4pt win
- UGA 14min 12pt lead-> 12pt Loss

- Oklahoma 1min 10pt lead -> 4pt Win
- UAB 5min 11pt lead -> 4pt Win
- USC Upstate 3min 11pt lead -> 7pt win
- Texas Tech 12min 19pt lead -> 2pt win

Combination of taking too many jump shots, turning it over a lot, and missing free throws. I think Auburn played two of their best games of the season against us though. In game one they fed the post better than they normally do. In game two they hit a lot of contested looks from deep.

I agree we played some of our better games, but Auburn fans have seen us play at a high level like that a ton. It wasn't some special performance for a rivalry game.

That's not actually true. In the past 8 games that would only rank #4 in points from the C position (only post player)

We hit a ton of open 3s. Granted, we normally miss quite a few open 3s, but very few of those were more than token contested shots

I disagree about the threes. A decent number were contested, but it doesn't matter. Every time I've watched AU outside of the two Bama games, they've looked awful which is just poor/good timing on my part depending on how you look at it.

You catching the wrong AU games to be honest. This will do a better job explaining why Auburn did well vs Bama compared to say USCe. You likely will experience this next year

When you play worse teams, it is easy to run the sets and system for FR through SRs. No one has trouble when things works

When things go poorly, you fall back to your fundamental game. Freshmen spent years playing AAU "hero ball" bullshite not your system. it is extremely hard to overwrite the new system in a few months on campus

So anytime these young teams play someone who ballparks their talent but have more experience, the young team is going to look like shite unless someone's hero ball actually works somehow

Look at Kentucky, extremely few can keep up with their talent so they never worry. Once teams are good enough not to be run out of the gym by their talent, they look like complete shite

Here are the 2 things I keep thinking of so this shitty season doesn't piss me off.....

#1, Here are the upgrades we are about to make next season...

Jimmie Taylor => Daniel Giddens
Bola Olaniyan => Alex Reese
Shannon Hale => John Petty
Brandon Austin => Herb Jones
Corban Collins => Collin Sexton

And THANK GOD we are getting rid of Bola's sorry arse, he's the worst player in Bama Basketball history...

#2, How about this depth chart for next season boys....

Collin Sexton/Dazon Ingram/Avery Jr
Riley Norris/Herb Jones/Ar'Mond Davis
John Petty/Nick King
Braxton Key/Alex Reese
Donta Hall/Daniel Giddens
