I'm currently watching Troy on ESPN and their new arena looks sharp as hell even though its small.

Think Avery is going to want some long term investments for our program if he makes the tourney a couple of times and really puts this program on the rise. What do yall think?

if we can't get a new construction, hell at least do what Clemson did to Littlejohn and our baseball team did and play at BJCC until it is overhauled.

As far as I'm concerned, they should already be making plans for a new arena. Behind the scenes, you would think they have something in the works.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part

We just renovated Coleman. Honestly Coleman isn't bad quality wise, but it is bad for basketball. The stands are too far away.

me and my dad were at the game this past Friday and it seems like a easy fix to Coleman if you ask me. Wouldn't even take a year. All they need to do now is move all the seats closer to the floor and then extend the club seats all the way around the top or make them boxes on the long sides.

We won't get a new arena for a while. It's unfortunate because Coleman Coliseum is definitely near the bottom in the SEC, and programs like Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Florida have either gotten a new arena or a complete face-lift.

The student and band placement absolutely suck. We average just over 10,000 in attendance in the last ten years. That's good, but it still leaves 5,000 seats empty, which looks horrible on tv and for recruits.

Isaac Haas killed it last night against Nova. Another one of those in state recruits Grant probably didn't even pursue hard enough

Taylor was class of '13. Haas was '14, which we took Jeff Garret, Justin Coleman, Riley Norris, and Devin Mitchel.

God that recruiting class worked out didn't it?

Was never coming to Bama, after his father's issues, he just wanted to stay away and avoid all the negative talk about his father. He is able to avoid that at Purdue.

I didn't follow his recruitment hard, but what was the issue with his father?

I still feel like we should have had a better chance with him than letting it come down to UAB and Purdue.

I don't think we win if it's that high scoring. I think we might be better off with a slower paced game against Dayton.

Father was Joe King, a real manchild at OT for Bama in the 80's. He was suspended many times for alcohol issues and was eventually kicked off the football team. Pursued a career in professional wrestling, following his father who was a pro wrestler, but alcohol continually interfered. Eventually, he robbed a bank and spent a long time in jail. After release, continued drinking and drugs until it killed him.

That really sucks. I had no idea Haas was his son. Can't imagine having to go through that.

Same. They have an experienced roster that know how to get up court fast. Need to play sound on defense and amp the pressure up on the perimeter. Offensively, just try to set up lanes for Dazon and Corban and continue to pound the paint to get their guys in foul trouble. After that, open up from beyond the arc.

I was surprised to see we're favored. Still some unknowns with this team.

We win this one easy, 85-22.

Ok, maybe not easily, but I think we can win.
