Single by Dowling makes it 5-2.

Girls still at the corners with 1 out.

Top 4th.

good win with our 4th string pitcher

Another win with issues from a Murph coached team. Over 12 LOB and a SS who cant bat much over 200. Seems to be issues every year with a Murphy coached SB team. Thank goodness for the Portal

As we have run ruled multiple top 25 teams lmao.

He does have coaching flaws, but I don’t have many, if any, complaints so far to start this season

Are you talking about Dowling? She’s our best hitter. Just a slow start.

last years SS batted 200 and so far this years starting SS is batting under 200. Last year there were several who got hurt but their BA was low 200 either way

Define best because she is far from the best.

Alabama Softball Posts Two Wins on Day One at Mardi Gras Mambo

The Crimson Tide defeats Nicholls, 5-2, and Southeastern Louisiana, 5-0

No. 2 Alabama softball battled chilly weather and strong winds Friday at the Mardi Gras Mambo, earning a 5-2 win over Nicholls before posting a 5-0 shutout against Southeastern Louisiana.

Alabama (12-0) overcame an early 2-1 deficit to Nicholls (2-9) in the opener, responding with four unanswered to take down the Colonels, 5-2. In the nightcap, the Crimson Tide and Southeastern Louisiana (7-3) were scoreless until the fifth inning when Kaylee Tow got things started with a two-run double as Alabama eventually won, 5-0.

Freshman Dallis Goodnight went a combined 4-for-6 on the day with a pair of multi-hit performances to push her season total to a team-leading five multi-hit games. Ten different players earned a hit and eight drove in a run, including a solo home run from Megan Bloodworth. Alex Salter (3-0) got the win against Nicholls with Jaala Torrence throwing 2.2 scoreless relief innings behind her for the save while Montana Fouts (4-0) went the distance against Southeastern Louisiana, striking out 13 in her second shutout of the season.

Please hush! You and LATIDER are the biggest crybabies ever. Bailey Dowling was our best hitter before she got injured. She's off to a slow start right now but once she starts getting her confidence back it's over.

If y'all don't like Patrick Murphy then go find another team to cheer for.

Wtf are you talking about. Dowling was batting over .300 last season and was leading the team in HRs before she tore her ACL…

I like Murph just fine. I actually talked to him last year while he was scanning tickets at the football game. He’s just terribly underachieved as a coach. Call a spade a spade.

First of all, l’ve been a Bama softball fan since the beginning and will be until the end. It’s Murphy that’s underachieved, not the teams. He is the reason the teams don’t win it all. So you go find you another team. One championship in 25 years is unacceptable.

SEC teams have won 3 titles in softball. Bama has one of those titles.

SEC teams just don't really wins WCWS titles for whatever reason.

Okay! Does Murphy pitch, hit, or play the field? I'll wait...

We set the TREND by bringing the FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP BACK TO THE SEC.

Patrick Murphy & his team did that! We would of had another one last year but our BEST HITTER and infielder got hurt (BAILEY DOWLING)!
