I'm being an a-hole I know and I'm sorry.
Serious question though while we're on the subject. Would you be ok with Bediako or Pringle transferring for us to get Ware?
Here are all their 40 minute stats from last season
Bediako 11.6 reb 3.5 blks 12.4 points
Pringle 15.4 reb 2.7 blks 17.4 points
Ware 10.3 reb 3.3 blks 16.8. points
ware shot 27% from three, the other two didnt attempt a three.

Ware can do all the same stuff Clowney could. Clowney played the 4…..Ware will be able to play the 4. Clowney was 6’10….Ware is 7’0.

Again...Ware could literally be used like Clowney was.
So no need for anybody to transfer.

FAU about to go to the championship game in their first ever NCAAT. Sometimes, life just isn’t fair.

Differing opinions don't bother me. I just think it's weird to be that strongly opposed from a defensive perspective considering we just had a team with two 6'10"+ bigs and a 6'9" SF (which is even more of an extreme rare case of size) that shared the floor and was the best defensive unit in program history.
The thing that made that unit a terror on defense was the fact that we were long and had 3 very good to elite rim protectors on the floor at once. It allowed us a very unique defensive scheme where we could be extremely aggressive on closeouts with every one, and still have one the best interior defenses in the entire country.
As for Pringle, he was in the same exact situation last year with Clowney. If he wants to transfer, it'll be because of Bediako, not because we added Ware.

So glad to see FAU lighting up SDSU. Absolute fraud team. Most of our 3s were wide open against them yet all you hear about is their unstoppable perimeter defense. FAU is actually hitting their open 3s.

Remember this boys….we are the only team in NCAAt history to beat FAU.
That’s worth a banner IMO

They’re also calling SDSU for their constant reaching and they’re melting down. Bunch of frauds.

They say you don’t want freshman in the NCAAT. I haven’t looked at FAU’s roster, but assume it’s got a decent amount of upperclassmen.
Our freshman disappeared down the stretch, went 2-18 from 3 in the SDSU game, and struggled most of the tournament.
JQ played well except for his way too many forced drives and Sears played pretty well other than his bad 0-5 from 3 (he was battling other ways including 10 rebounds, 6 of which were OReb).
Was hoping having older guards would help us, but ultimately the freshman buckled under the spotlight (which is pretty common).

Ware in exchange for Pringle? No doubt. I love Pringle but his inability to shoot at all combined with some of his defensive deficiencies makes him not the best fit for what we do.
Bediako? No. Chuck defensively is gigantic for us. I pray he returns. We need him.

And Clowney being 6’10 and having his skillet means he will probably be drafted in the top 20 picks in the draft, its rare for a 6’10 guy to have the skills and upside he does.
If Ware had Clowneys skillset at 7 feet tall then he would really be special and would be a top 10 pick.
The thing is he doesnt have Clowneys skillset, he has the skillset of a center that can shoot a three which is why he is in the portal and Clowney is in the draft.

Apparently they have mostly Sophomores, one freshman, and a couple Jrs and Srs.
If refs called this game the same for us, we’d have won by 10+. Hard to see a game so impacted by subjective referees.

FAU coach boldly copying Nat Oats timeout strategy…still has all 3 in his pocket despite the SDSU run. His guy just bailed him out with that 3 as the 14 point lead was down to 2 with zero timeouts taken.

I would love to have Ware as a center he would fit great in our system as the 5 but I dont think Id trade Bediako or Pringle for him

I will be surprised if SDSU doesn't win, FAU’s offense is really impressing me though.

I disagree.
Clowney played for the #1 team in the country with an NBA system and was allowed to show off his skill set. Ware played for a coach that has checked out on a team that was 220th in Tempo and 130th in 3pt attempts. Give him an offseason with Oats and he will be the perfect Clowney replacement

Wish they blew the whistle like this in our matchup vs San Diego St...sheesh.

FAU getting screwed now. That was a clean block and is now the 4th on their 7 footer. Officials determine games way too much in CBB. This just sucks

SDSU couldn't miss in the second half against us, today they can't buy a basket. FAU is really good though, not sure we would have beat them, they are particularly quick and shifty yet still physical.
