Picked 5th in todays SEC media poll, Miller and JQ on 2nd team SEC

I’m very skeptical JQ plays this year, and don’t blame him if he doesn’t. That being said, if he plays half a season and is second team all SEC, we’re finishing better than fifth.

It says Nate Oats and the coaches feel confident in landing Cooper.

4-star wing Kaden Cooper says he has one school in mind and is nearing announcement
Kaden Cooper, the No. 57 overall prospect in the 2023 class, has been a high-priority recruit for a handful of programs including Alabama, Gonzaga, Kansas, LSU and Oklahoma where he has taken visits to each program.
It's late in the recruiting process for the four-star wing and he says he is nearing an announcement.
"Slowly coming to an end, I plan to make a decision this month," he said. "I am pretty confident and it is going well."
Does he think he knows where he is going?
"Yeah," he said but he isn't ready to reveal and hasn't set a date to announce as of yet.
With the announcement coming soon he broke down his final thoughts on his final five with 247Sports.
Alabama: "I love their play-style, they get up and down the floor. When I was on my visit they were focusing a lot more on defense and incorporating that. I like Oats, he's a smart guy, he knows the game and runs a lot of pro sets and develops guys."
Gonzaga: "I like Gonzaga, Spokane is an isolated place. They are always working and Few is that guy. I like him as a coach and I like them as a team. I think I will be a good role guy, just come in and do my thing."
Kansas: "Kansas is a great school, I love coach Self. He's from Oklahoma so he is an 'Okie'. I like the team, they focus more on defense than offense but they still get up and down the floor. They're coming off a 'Natty' to that's big and it felt like home a bit."
LSU: "I like their coaching staff, I really like their coaching staff. I enjoy my visit over there. LSU has a nice campus, the team was great, I fit their play-style, it's a little bit fast and slow but I can adjust to different play-styles."
Oklahoma: "It's the home-state. If I go there then I have everybody on my back and it puts a lot of pressures on the coaches keeping me in-state. I think I can really blossom at that school, develop and make a name for myself."
What was he looking for throughout this process that would push a team over the ultimate edge and seal his commitment?
"For me it is whatever feels best," he said. "I have been praying on it and I think God will show me the right answer."
Cooper is a 6-foot-5 highly athletic small forward playing for Atlanta (Ga.) The Skill Factory and he shared what he will be bringing to the program that lands his commitment.
"A great on-ball defender, I am working on my help defense right now," he said. "I can come in and knock down shots, handle the ball, play out of pick and roll, lead, keep the team together and help them be successful."
