I'm just going to predict 20-12 forever.

Part of me wonders if after this experience, we'll start to focus on a 3-person class and fill out the rest with impact transfers from this point forward.

With the way things currently stand with this roster, I just don't know what to expect next year and that's simply because of how much we're relying on guys that have never played (Clowney, Griffen, Bradley and Miller) or barely played NCAA basketball (Burnett and Pringle). That's not even considering the uncertainty of JQ playing injury-free basketball at all next year.

The talent is there, but the inexperience is there as well.

That's the route to go IMO.

Looks like Muss "processed" Jaxson Robinson today.

He was #67 in the 2020 class when he committed to aTm. He transferred to Arkansas last May and is back in the portal now.

Kinda shitty processing a kid after the May 1st deadline. But you gotta do what you gotta do

He already used his free transfer, so he has to sit next year regardless of when he went into the portal unless he gets a waiver.

I'm told no decision is imminent for Emmanuel Akot and he will wait until closer to the June 1 deadline to make a decision on his future.

Not sure if Boise State would take him back, but I'm told he hasn't eliminated the possibility of coming back to Boise.

Only way I could see it would be if he's best option available for what Broncos need. But I don't know if that's the case.

I'd still put a return at very unlikely.

St. Bonaventure transfer Kyle Lofton has committed to Florida. The 6’3” senior was one of the top PG’s in the portal, averaged 12.8 points on 40% shooting, 3.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 2 steals per game last season. Big pickup for Todd Golden.

Florida might be pretty good next year.

Unless he has some major character issues or something the notion that a program wouldn't want a starter and one of the best players on their team back is fricking stupid. But then, Boise and UCF basically have the market cornered on schools that think extremely highly of themselves despite being glorified junior colleges that no one gives a shite about.

Yeah, the guy is at least close to being good enough to play in the NBA, but not sure if Boise State basketball would take him back if he wanted to return.

He either doesn't know a damn thing or he knows Akot is defintely not coming back and wants to make Boise look like more than a stepping stone.

Yeah, that would make sense - but Goodman was already predicting Arkansas with his tweet. I was reading it like Slater was saying there was another threat. I might just be misreading it though.

Nope. That was me skeptical of the Golden hire. Not because of Golden … but because he is behind down there as far as NIL is concerned to UK, Arkansas, Auburn, Alabama, etc.

I felt as though he would be a better fit in Pac-12.

Goodman seems to think Alabama is doing fine with NIL.

Not if the vast majority of the team is leaving and you need to fill the roster. Imagine the panic in here if we had 2-3 less recruits coming in. Also we’re not broke and cheaping out on NIL, just be patient folks

If we had 2-3 less recruits coming in it's highly unlikely that we would be having such a difficult time signing guys out of the portal.

Not saying we shouldn't have signed a couple of the guys we did, but going forward I think we do need to try to strike more of a balance between freshmen and transfers. It's going to be a really, really inexperienced roster next year even if we end up bringing in two 5th year seniors with these last two scholarships.
