Shack is no where near the rebounder or defender that Pettey was.

True but given the choice I take petty.

Think Shack is gone either way.

Alabama plays no defense, street ball garbage. Oats needs to go back to Buffalo and find players who can actually run plays and defend. It’s obvious these boys can’t do either.
A tired ND actually wanted to win more than Alabama….SAD!!

Go watch some football highlights bud, your FOG vibes got worked out a little too much in that post.

Word for word was one of the most inaccurate posts I’ve seen so far other than MAYBE ND wanted it more, and yet you still managed to sound like an idiot.

Just go root for a new team if you’re gonna whine about a Coach who just did something we haven’t had in over a decade

Yeah buddy, wasted 8 years and 3080 post for an alter! You’re about as blind to this as most of you are about Quaker Oats and his team! Some of y’all need to wake the hell up.

PD: Jaden Bradley, IMG (FL)

If you were to ask 10 different evaluators about the best long term prospect from this year's IMG teams you would get every possible answer to the question. It's not hard to grasp why scouts struggle to parse the Ascenders' multitude of talents each with a strong track records of performance within winning archetypes, offering unique skills the suddenness of Jarace Walker (Houston commit), the scoring dynamism of Keyonte George (Baylor), Jett Howard's long range marksmanship (Michigan), Eric Dailey's multi-positional defensive prowess (uncommitted) & the even keeled craft of Joden Bradley (Alabama).

My own read has Bradley, a 6'2 PG, just narrowly atop the field. The case for Bradley centers on his floor as a sturdy team-runner currently & the future developmental context at Bama. At IMG, Bradley is asked to run offense, set the table & match up against Is or 2s depending on the lineup Bradley's duties as the straw that stirs the drink have worked out well-he's rarely turning the ball over (2.6 ATO in NIBC play) & scoring efficiently (57.6 TS%) for an Ascenders squad that is 7-1 in conference, including a HoopHall win over rival Montverde. Digging deeper into the numbers, there is another side of Bradley's game that I believe represents a potential high upside creator. There are real shooting indicators-413 FTR in those 8 NIBC games, shooting 83% at the line (24 attempts), as well as the flashes of flexibility in his finishing craft. The jumper mechanics are positive - there are only a few extra inputs that will need cleaning up, good energy transfer, consistently high release point, and the makes from 3 are there (43,7% in NIBC). However, the volume of attempts do not match the eye test of the jumper. Bradley has taken 7 3PA across those 8 games, or put differently, 3s make up only 12% of his shot diet

Bradley will play his ball next season for Alabama-a program with a pace and offensive space system, a great track record of shooting development & clear expectations of the 3 point volume required from their lead guards. Compare Bradley's NIBC 3PR of 12 to other Crimson Tide guards in their first year in Note Cats' system: 21-22 freshman JD Davison 40.2 3PR, 20 21 freshman Josh Primo 57.9 3PR & sophomore Jahvon Quinerly 40.4 3PR 19-20 sophomore Kira Lewis 34.2 3PR & freshman Jaden Shackleford 65.6 3PR. It's a hand in glove fit between a prospect's developmental needs with a program's proven area of focus. The frame and creation skills were there before, to add the intangible guard skills and game control that's been developed and showcased during his time at IMG, adding a potential jump in perimeter shot development over the next year makes Bradley a most interesting prospect
Not sure if this was ever posted, but a real good look into why Bradley and Alabama are a perfect match.

That fits everything i know about him to a t. I didnt know his 3 pt shot was getting better, but the floor management and leadership are definitely his strengths. He plays against the best competition night in snd night out in the country

As I have been accustomed to doing after our season ends, I started a deep dive into the prospects we have coming in. I've already seen the highlights of all of our guys, but started scouring the internet for scouting reports and actual game tape if I can find it.

Brandon Miller certainly has the most potential and highest ceiling, and I feel he's already been talked up a bunch, so I won't add anything more on him. However, my initial thought when we landed Bradley was confirmed when I looked at him closer; he is my favorite fit of all the additions. He's an excellent floor general who does a great job of distributing and taking care of the ball. He actually has many traits in common with JD, just way less bouncier and way more under control. The more I watch him, the more I believe he could be our starter next year. It's always wise to temper expectations of freshmen (especially at the PG position), but he plays with a maturity well beyond his years.

I just started to look closer into Clowney, and while I wasn't initially that high on him, he seems to have a game built for our system. He may not be ready for it next year considering his weight, but if he can bulk up, I think he could open up our offense a ton as a small-ball 5. Very smooth looking jumper with a quick release and has demonstrated the ability to hit turn and shoot deep balls. He also looks to be a great finisher and solid defender and athlete. I feel like the vibe of losing out on Jarace Walker and Clowney being his replacement kind of made him easy to overlook, but there is a lot to be excited about.

I haven't yet looked into Griffen and Pringle closely as of yet, but Miller, Bradley and Clowney have not disappointed me this far.

This is the first real recruiting class for Oats. The previous ones were just him grabbing bodies, even promising playing time to 17 year old Canadians.

Maybe, but even though the SEC is having a down year in the NCAA tournament, it is becoming the dominant conference in college athletics. Adding Texas and Oklahoma will only increase that dominance. Kansas State would be more comfortable, but winning in the SEC is attractive to real competitors.
