Anyone have a timeline on when to expect decision? I want to wear my lucky attire.

True. I am pretty sure we have signed every player that we’ve gotten a crystal ball or a futurecast so far under Oats except for Beauchamp and ended up not even going to college.

We had a CB for Burnett as well, but he did eventually come here.

Well he withdrew from the draft and officially remained in the portal on July 7.

Put out a top ten on July 10.

Put out a top four on July 12.

I'd say the decision is probably coming very soon.

You sure? This says he had 7 Crystal balls and all were for Texas Tech.

247

I think we may have gotten a futurecast for him when he was in the portal.

Top transfer Kevin Obanor unveils final 4 schools

Former Oral Roberts forward Kevin Obanor is looking for a new school after withdrawing from the 2021 NBA Draft. And there has been no shortage of suitors for the versatile big man coming off a dominant performance in the NCAA Tournament.

After entering the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier this month, Obanor unveiled his top 10 schools on Saturday and noted that his decision would be coming soon. But now he has narrowed his list yet again just two days later.

The highly-touted transfer took to Twitter on Monday to announce his top four schools, which included Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois and Texas Tech.

For the season, Obanor averaged 18.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, shooting 46.3% from behind the 3-point arc and winning first-team All-Summit League honors. Obanor teamed with Max Abmas as everything came together at the right time for the Golden Eagles. Oral Roberts started the season 5-6 and sat at 11-10 heading into the last two games of the season. The Golden Eagles won both of those contests, then swept through the Summit League Tournament to win the conference’s automatic bid.

That landed Oral Roberts a No. 15 seed and a likely quick exit in the tournament. Instead, Obanor and Abmas were arguably the two best players on the court in a 75-72 overtime win over Ohio State. Obanor led all scorers with 30 points and 11 rebounds, while Abmas had 29 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Together, the duo made 10 of Oral Roberts’ 11 3-pointers.

The second round brought No. 7 seed Florida, and another strong showing from Obanor and Abmas. Once again, Obanor led everyone in scoring, this time with 28 points and 11 boards, and he added four steals. Abmas had 26 points, thanks in large part to a 12-of-12 night from the free throw line, seven assists and two steals in an 81-78 victory that sent Oral Roberts to the Sweet 16.

That’s when the magic ran out. The two teams were tied at 70 in the final minute, but Arkansas pulled out the 72-70 win. Abmas had 25 points and four assists, while Obanor finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Muss has the most connection with him, he recruited him out of HS when he was HC at Nevada. Plus similarly with how we played Gurleys team two years in a row and got familiar with each others styles, Arkansas played Oral Roberts twice last year.

Arkansas would make the most sense imo, I hope to God he doesnt go there.

We make sense too as far as we would best suited offense for him to showcase his skills in.

Im not sure what his connection to TT is, if he has one. He is from Houston which is 9 hours from Lubbock, as far as I can tell thats why some seem to be thinking he is going to TT, but Fayetteville Arkansas is also 9 hours from Houston.

Arkansas fans don't seem too confident they are getting him so that's good.

For sure. I'd love to see him highly drafted. But I think that's why him leaving stings like it does. He was primed to have a huge year, on potentially Bama's most talented team (certainly in decades). But you gotta get paid when you can get the chance.
