It’s going to be amazing having a full squad of guys who are good at every part of basketball. I’m sick of the specialists who excel at one thing, but stink at everything else….

Herb: defense only
Bola: rebounding only, sort of
Petty: shooting only (once every 8 or 9 games)
Avery Jr: posting up at half court
Donta Hall: blocks as the help side defender

Avery Jr is the only one that is factual though.

Primo hired an NCAA-certified agent while Shackelford did not hire an agent, so they are both still eligible to return to school. The NCAA’s deadline is July 7 ahead of the July 29 draft.

Primo, Herb, and Petty were all invited to the combine

That's what I figured would happen. Glad that Petty got invited. If I remember correctly, there's a pretty low number of invites.

I'm not surprised that Shack wasn't invited. He's got some good offensive skills. But to make the NBA, he'll need to improve his 3pt% and keep working on his defense. He has a big improvement between year 1 & 2. So let's hope he continues to work hard and improve.

Guess we'll find out in a few weeks what Primo is gonna do. At the point in the draft he'll be taken, any mock draft is meaningless, until after the combine. I was gonna add team workouts. But I'm not sure if guys can do that and still come back (I don't know the rules beyond signing with an NCAA certified agent and the deadlines).

If both Primo and Shackelford return, Alabama would be one player over the NCAA scholarship limit of 13.

So who would be on the cutting board?
Rojas— Medical Hardship?

That’s good. Primo would have to be extremely impressive at the combine to make First Round. He is too young and looks it too.
Kira was in the same situation, stayed and was lottery pick after his Sophomore year.
Primo should stay, for sure.

Unless Rojas does in fact count against the scholarship limit I think we'd have 13 exactly if both of them come back.
