out of the rotation
Mallette
Naas
Max
Jarin
If all the players return, it will be difficult for these four players to get time.
However, Mallette is a good shooter and is prepared, so he has a good chance of getting time.
The player who disappointed me the most in the last two games is Stevenson. He showed poor 3PT and free throws. He is not a good defender. I don't know if he developed anything in the offseason.
Four players were out of the roster yesterday due to injuries, but Stevenson was not a starter.
Not only Mo D, but also Reid and Sherrell can easily replace Stevenson's position.
Mo D, Reid, and Sherrell have athletic ability and defensive skills that Stevenson lacks.
Sherrell is a better 3PT shooter than Stevenson.

You keep saying, like every day, that Jarin will not be in the rotation.
No matter how many times you say it, it's still ridiculously stupid.
And you keep saying this
quote:
If all the players return,
Where do you think they are going dude? The season starts in a week.
I swear our dumb basketball fans are exponentially dumber than our dumb football fans.

I’d bet all of BigBird’s life savings that Jarin will not be an end of rotation guy.

If all the players were back, which players would you cut?
I want the best players in the rotation.
In the last two exhibition games, Jarin has been one of the worst players.

Man I must have watched a different game last night because I though Jarin did fine. He even made a few 3's. As far as free throw shooting the whole team did poorly on that aspect last night. I think we shot about 50%. Even Sears had an awful night shooting FTs

FT
Mallette 2-2 100%
Mo D 6-8 75%
Labaron 3-4 75%
Sears 7-10 70%
Reid 5-8 62.5%
Aden 2-4 50%
Jarin 5-10 50%
Omoruyi 0-2 0%

Did you watch last year? Did you watch him in the Elite Eight against Clemson? They won the game because of him. He is what the NBA looks for with his size and shooting ability. And he is only 18. He should be a freshman this year. I am not sure what to tell you if you think he will be at the end of the bench. You are very wrong.

Everyone knows that Jarin scored 19 points. However, in the last two games, his shooting percentage is 30%. And he's 19 now.
So who would you leave out of the rotation if all the players who were injured come back?

Exhibition games. Last year Walters had 30 in one. The year before we got blown out by TCU and ended up as the #1 overall seed.

Reid just over did it on offense too many times instead of just taking what the defense was giving him.
Defending, rebounding, alley oops, and putbacks will be his calling card for now I think.

Last year in the exhibition games, Sam played great, but in the regular season, he had a tough game.
In this exhibition game, Jarin played the worst. Then, will he play an even worse game in the regular season?

You understand that a 2 game sample is essentially meaningless right? Even moreso when those 2 games are exhibitions.

Well, what I saw last night from Jarin was...
Even though he struggled shooting the ball...he gave great effort both offensively and defensively.
He also knocked down a clutch three and hit some clutch free throws down the stretch. (If he's as sorry as you claim then he wouldn't have had the mental toughness to make plays down the stretch)
Oh and by the way Jarin has improved his ball handling tremendously.

I just gave my opinion on why he struggled.

I never once saw Jarin do any ball handling in set offence.

I don’t know nearly enough about basketball to say conclusively, but a 6-11 guy shooting 32% from 3 that is serviceable everywhere else probably opens up a lot for us
Alex Reece just played NBA minutes for last year’s 1 Seed after being out of the sport for 2 years. The value with Jarin is there

I hope when the season starts this thread moves past one guy shitting on Jarin and everyone else defending him. This has happened both exhibition games so far
