Burnett needs to stick to corner 3s.
Really liked seeing JQ rack up the assists. That will open things up.

They both are smooth operators and they flat out change the game on both sides of the ball.

Clowney was really good tonight and we will definitely need him against Houston if we have any chance.
However, I’m not sure we want our Tourney lives in March resting on Clowney or Gurley making open 3s in an unfamiliar gym. Our D will travel, but I hope Clowney and Gurley are working for offensive rebounds in March more than jacking 3s.

I’ve definitely had more fun at games but a win is a win and that’s all that really matters. Now hopefully we have a great week of practice and can put up a fight against Houston.

Exactly. We would win the game they are hot and get bounced the game they shoot airballs. Can’t afford that inconsistency if you want make a deep run.

We don't want Clowney taking 12 threes in a game, but the fact that he hit 5 threes tonight is a great sign. Him being able to space the floor would be huge.

Losing to Memphis would suck more than losing to the other two imo.
I can honestly see 0-3, 1-2, 2-1 or 3-0 happening. I'm really sitting the fence with that take.
Winning @ Houston would be quite the feat though. Memphis is solid, but that's a game I feel like we should take. Gonzaga is more of a tossup. They have taken a slight step back from last year and we are improved. I can still see that one going either way though tbh.
2-1 would be fantastic imo.

I think we should expect 2-1. I don’t see a very good shot at all of us beating Houston but we are definitely better than Memphis and I haven’t seen anything from Gonzaga this year that makes me think we shouldn’t be able to handle them.

One thing about shooting 40 3s in a game, we only had 10 TOs. That probably was due to SDST’s lack of athletic ability more than anything but hoping we can keep them to 15 or under against Houston. Need to limit TOs and especially live ball TOs that lead to transition points against their elite D.

Memphis has quietly had a good season, they are 26th in KenPom, and we will face a HUNGRY Gonzaga team that still has a lot of talent, that has only lost to elite teams, they're still 9th on KenPom.
I would be ecstatic with 2 and 1.

O yea. Most definitely need a good week of practice because it's going to be a battle versus Houston. Jarace Walker ain't no joke either. Brandon Miller needs to be working on that left hand all week.
