Defense looks solid. The few questions marks, secondary, safeties are good I’m not worried there, boundary corner, they are young but they are fast and take coaching. Jackson seems good, other side probably a bit of a battle. ILB great to Elite, DL lots of rotation but I didn’t see a glaring issue. They got to the QB every now and again. As long as we don’t get the top blown off I feel good about this group.
I thought boundary corner was THE question mark once Proctor re-transferred. It is tough to roll into an SEC football season with a completely new secondary in a new scheme. Every player in the secondary is either a first-time contributor, playing a new position, and/or a transfer. If the secondary can just be okay then making the playoffs is not unrealistic. If it is more like 2023 LSU secondary then Milroe will have to win the Heisman just to keep us respectable.

Alabama is loaded at pass rusher. They have multiple options there. DeBoer was very complimentary of the defensive backs today. Not sure about place kicker but we have really good options there too.

KD mentioned Robert's good for week one, any word on Jam?

DeBoer said that he could have played today but they chose to hold him out. Getting everyone full speed for the first game.

Those are my main worries.

Updating my thoughts on the "Milroe can't read defenses/process/improve"
narrative.
Again, I'm glad that it seems as though he actually has made some improvement in his game. AND, I am even MORE glad that it seems there's a darn good insurance policy in place, in case a "break glass in case of emergency" situation develops.
As I've already mentioned, all this team needs to compete for a title in 2024 is relatively good health, and marginal improvement across the board on offense. Most of us expect at least some sort of dropoff defensively, but to offset that, this version of the Tide has better S&C, team chemistry, and offensive coaching than the 2023 version did.

It’s Bernard on punts. There was a stack on kickoffs

Is Burnip better than JK? He might be

Qua Russaw is getting primed to show out. Like to hear that Cole Adams wasn’t taking the talk from the secondary and made some tough grabs. I would love to see the secondary and WRs both to play with that chip on their shoulders.
Side note- thinking about changing my name to 280lbasskicker
