IMO. Many teams including the Tide looked very sloppy. It just goes to show how much teams need a refresher in tackling & ball handling after a summer. The other point that may come out of this is how few guys went down with preseason injuries. I don’t know about the rest of y’all but I’m pretty fricking thankful to have gotten a semblance of a season, regardless of the outcome.

I said before the year I was going to be happy if we made it long enough to beat UGA and LSU. I wasn't sure the season would make it to the IB but obviously this is incredible

One of the things I look forward to, and glad we we have it this year.

That being said besides game 1, the offense has looked great.

The defense is what it is, it is average at best. We really just need to accept that.

Compared to other 2020 defenses, we are not average. Compared to the 92 defense, we are very average, but that team was loaded with future NFL starters, and were loaded with seniors and upper classmen. Unfortunately seniors, and future nfl starters do not belong in the same sentence these days.

I thought the offense looked great right of out the gate. We took our foot off the pedal against Mizzou early in the 3rd, but could have easily scored 50-60 if we wanted to in game 1.

Eh...not so sure about that. The defense was hot garbage early on, but they have made considerable improvement. If they can continue to make progress over the next month, they could be pretty damn good by a natty game.

I agree, they have made significant improvement. The D-Line and OLBs have come a long way and are actually a force. Shoutout to Phi Mathis - who would have seen him step up to bring the fire and intensity to a defense that desperately needed it. They have become a very disruptive group. Chris Allen, outside of the OM game, has also had a very good year IMO - I think with another year he will play himself into a 2nd/3rd round pick.

That said, the defense will only be as good as 32 and 3 allow it to be. The unfortunate part is that they are veterans and are still lost at times. All of the younger guys on D have made significant improvement as they become more comfortable with each game. We are one good MLB and FS away from having a very, very good defense.

I did, too. It was 35-3 or something to that effect when we pulled the offensive and defensive starters.
