And sure someone can point out McClellan’s long run skewing the numbers in the Texas game, but when was the last time we had a 70+ yard run in an important situation? Honestly might be in the 2016 range

McClellan isn't a skewed #. It counts as a homerun run.

Also, just as a comp

vs Bama : 40 attempts, 78 yards, 1.95 YPA

ULM Rush Defense
vs Texas : 29 attempts, 134 yards, 4.62 YPA
vs Bama : 38 attempts, 273 yards, 7.18 YPA

Sure. And that’s an element we somewhat lacked in the Robinson and Najee seasons

Those offense stats are fantastic especially with the issues and run blocking grades our OL has put up. We have 2 or 3 home run hitters in the RB room. They have hit a couple of big home runs. Will those continue? I sure hope so.

Yeah, I haven't understood the "we caint run bawl, pawl" crowd this year. We've honestly looked better in the run game than we have in a while, for this early in the season. I've always been a Roydell fan, but the freshman (can't remember his name right now) is going to be an absolute beast.

We certainly aren't getting 4-5 a carry like we may have at times in the distant past, but we're also not getting stonewalled or having a bunch of TFLs either like we have some years (last year for one). And we're also breaking more longer runs than we did last year. It isn't perfect yet but the backs are really good and the line has shown some signs that they can do some run stuff well. Still a work in progress, obviously.

And yea - Gibbs, Jase, Roydell and Miller is a hell of a group of backs. And I like that we've tried our best to get them all (mainly the big 3) involved a lot and not just ridden one or even two guys. They're all good players with different skill sets and it's good to keep them all involved and wear on people with them.

Jamarion Miller, and yeah he is. His running style is a lot like Ingram's.

See hole

Run fast with small center of gravity

Slam into defender hard

Rinse, repeat

Backups who run like that always have bright futures because they simply frustrate Saban into giving them meaningful carries in order to prevent them from gashing tired defenses in the 4th quarters of 45-3 beatdowns.
