Nice, I like it. Hopefully we have him on the sideline so players can feed off of that energy.

Amazing how we never saw anything remotely close to that from Golding. Leadership is what we were really lacking from our DC. Fundamentals and physicality will be a welcomed sight as well.

Steele is 100% an upgrade.

Tbf Kevin Steele is not a name that would excite me generally but if you keep going back to the fact that he’s replacing Peter Golding it is actually pretty cool.

People forget how terrible the Malzahn era Auburn defense was until Steele got there. He must have fixed some cultural issues to turn them into the really good unit they had in 2019

He did a good job there but Muschamp also deserves a lot of credit. His one recruiting class was fantastic (guy like Carlton Davis who was a 3-star plus big names that panned out) and he took the smoldering ruins of they 2014 defense and made them respectable in 2015.

Steele then took that and did good work moving forward.
