$2 million was never going to land Cam and yes, to appease fans who are criticizing every move the staff makes. And those same fans are sky screaming that we didn't land him. WR is a position that remains stocked. I don't care who you buy to catch the ball. If you can't block for the guy throwing the ball it won't matter. Focus and funds should be on the line of scrimmage above all.

Folks need to move on not only from the Saban years, but also the old-school Rah-Rah where we expect the athletes to play for pride and the love of the institution.

Top Ranked RB in the portal and we just had the worst rushing offense in school history….but yeah, we just needed him to be a body.

But sure, let’s depend on a true freshman.

Who’s expecting any of that? Nobody thought we had a real shot with Cameron.

Sure seems like it with all the crying. And to your RB comment. No one should pass judgement on kids running behind that OL. The yards to contact stat are irrationally bad. Give me some blocking. And we've signed some pretty impressive talent the last two years that have yet to see the field.

Both can be true. We had putrid OL blocking but anytime we had backs who got to that second level, they neither had the speed, twitch, or strength to shed tackles to do anything with it.

People are “crying” (meaning they’re not putting their head in the sand about this staff) because we clearly didn’t have a plan for the portal even if we are trying to have a low budget approach

Agreed.

A very small sample size to draw a conclusion from.

I doubt the staff has full autonomy on the plan. You have profit share plus whatever a booster wants to toss in and there are always strings attached. I also believe there is pressure to make a splash that is uneccessary.

That’s longer than we had Caleb Downs. He was moving into an apartment when OSU upped our offer and he left less that 24 hours

The could create an overall actual salary cap just like the NFL.

Ohio State's acquisition strategy is to essentially ignore recruiting and buy everyone else's best players.

And I'm not being hyperbolic, that is directly from the mouth of one of their coaches.

This is where we are now.

He enrolled in classes.

So he committed to the academic side of UA but signed a binding agreement to the athletic side
