Bahahahahaha ok sorry. Yep it's true the curse of the no knowledge Bama fans. Back up is always better and Najee Harris is better than D Harris too.

Tua's brother is the real deal at QB too.

I'd hate to see the kid at Auburn, because the family thought the brother didn't get a fair shot at Alabama.

Slice and dice it any way you want to, but Tua played better yesterday than Hurts did. He deserves right now to get significant playing time. His team mates seemed to respond well to him.

That's the most ridiculous strawman I've seen. "We need to play Tua or he'll transfer ... to AUBURN"? Seriously?

Tua played well yesterday. So did Hurts.

Coach Daboll and Coach Saban obviously think Hurts is the better QB for our team, or he wouldn't be starting. Continuing this discussion is beyond pointless at this juncture, and I don't know why you (and others) are still tilting at this particular windmill.

Would not have 9/17 attempts for 78 yards in any game on our schedule.

He was 7/13 for 64 yards coming into this game.

You're trying to spin the issue.

Yes. I would hate to see the younger kid go elsewhere because the family didn't think Tua got a fair shake.

We need to play Tua, though, because he may be a better all around quarterback than Hurts is. I think he can pose a threat as a passing quarterback that Hurts never is going to. He played better yesterday than Hurts did.

This is a message board. If you don't want to discuss a topic, then it's fairly simple just not to log in or don't click on topics that you know are about something you don't want to discuss. It isn't complex.

I know stats aren't everything, but let's be real if Hurts played well yesterday I don't want to see an average or bad game from him.

I mean, he was 1/4 for zero yards last week. They had to put hurts back in the game.

One of those imcompletions last week was directly in the hands of a receiver that dropped it. In fact, it was initially called a catch and fumble. I have read since yesterday that Hurts had 2 balls dropped. Same difference.

As a back up with 2's. You honestly think he'd do that as a starter?

Not racist but it is strange and definitely offensive.

It's like Tua calling his father trailer park because he can't pronounce his name.

You know what, you're right. I initially misread your statement. My apologies.

I'm not sure how much fairer a shake Tua can get at this point in his career, though, and I don't believe the Tagovailoa family is upset at his playing time. If you have more information on that, I'd like to hear it.

And thank you for explaining to me how online message boards work. I was unclear, having only participated in them for 18 years. I'm sure your advice on them is just as helpful to me as your suggestions about how to manage playing time for our QBs is to Coach Saban.

I agree that he has gotten a chance, and it's deserved. I suggested before the season started that he'd get a chance and would play. Some people chided me as being a fool, or whatever, and said he'd not play unless Hurts was injured. To think that was goofy then, and it's goofy now.

This isn't, though, about me or you or any other message board poster. It's about the team, and as I noted pre season, I think Tua will gradually get more playing time and not just in mop up duty, so that he can improve, and I think he will improve. As was noted so often last year about Jalen, he's just a freshman, and is bound to get better. Since he appears already to be a better passer than Hurts, that's good for our team, and as previously noted, his team mates seemed to respond well to him. It's all good.

I think hurts is a good qb and playmaker overall, but as a passer he's average at best. My only concern is if we get down late or end up in a hole... He's going to have to pass his way out of it and I'm not sure if he could do that consistently.

In all honesty if Hurts was the qb against 2013 and 2012 Texas A&M we would have probably lost both of those games.

Doubt Saban would do this, but Urban started giving Tebow a few plays in '06 when Chris Leak was the QB. I think it would be nice to see Tua in on a few situational plays.

Alabama has an embarrassment of riches.
